   Netfilx…?
   Does anyone have Netflix? And how do you like it? I was planning on joining. What plan do you have and how does it work?
   On some of the titles it has: ADD or SAVE.
   What does the SAVE mean? Does that mean that’s not availible?
   i fear the SAVE means that they do not have it because the movie came out in 2000 and it should be (and is)on DVD now.

     i like it! i’ve been a member for 3 years. I have the 3 dvd at a time plan—it cheaper now than it use to be! I guess they have competition with blockbuster online now. You just pick or “ADD or SAVE” dvds you want and they drop into your quene. From there you can rearrange in the order of which you want to recieve ur movie once you send it back in the prepaid envelope! It’s so easy! Your next movie will come to you in 1-2 days. “SAVE” means the movie didn’t come out on dvd yet.

     It would not affect them getting movies in the mail. Just have them log onto their netflix account and put your gamertag info on it. Then you can just go to the video marketplace, then click netflix, on the 360 dashboard. And it will log you into it.

   can you pay for netfilx without a credit card or bank card?
   i want to but a netflix subscription but i do not want to use my bank card and my credit card is maxed. is there any way to pay for netflix without a bank card or credit card?

     No you cannot. They require a debit or credit card (or even a paypal account) to receive movies in the mail. This holds the person accountable for their purchase.

   Is netfilx worth the money and how much does it cost? will it stay that or are the prices going to change?
   i think it says .99 are there any hidden fees? is that including tax?

   • ANSWER:
     Nope.. no hidden fees. I have an xbox 360 with the xbox live.. i can send movies from the internet onto my Netflix on the xbox.. and I can order them by mail as well.. It’s worth the money if you like to watch movies:p

    I have about 6 tv in my house, is there a cheap way to hook up all my tvs to Netfilx instead of buying 6 boxes?

    • ANSWER:
      Unless your Tv s are newer and have a USB port there is no way around not having a box-play station or compatible Blu-Ray to stream Net-Flix….You will most likely need to get your bandwidth boosted if you plan on streaming on more then one set at a time.

    Why can’t I use my paypal card with netfilx?
    It says there appears to be a problem with the card I am trying to use. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

      Is it a paypal credit card with a visa logo that says it can be used anywhere? Or is it a card meant to be used only for paypal purchases? Call the company and find out why it’s not working.

    how dose netfilx work on the wii?
    do they only put a small amount of movies on it? Or is it just because it’s new that all the movies arn’t on it yet.

      Netflix on the Wii is new, but Netflix instant streaming isn’t new…and the compatibility with the wii has nothing to do with the amount of movies that are available to instantly stream…it has everything to do with storage and the cost to host/stream all the movies.

      Imagine what kind of computer/network you would need to host EVERY SINGLE MOVIE! One day we’ll get there – but it will take a while.

      Until then, i think Netflix does a good job with the selection and the amount of movies/shows they have available to instantly stream.

    Can you use one netfilx account on 2 different ps3 systems in different houses.?
    I was wonder if my brother who lives in a different house could give me his netflix username and password and we could both use his netflix account on two different ps3′s

      nope, i’ve tried, it says something along the lines of “Are you dumb? i can only be activated on one ps3″

      On my Vizio, there is a USB port by the power, volume and input buttons. If we have the same TV’s, then it should be there, but we may not. You won’t need a new cable if you have the charging cord or whatever you call it.

    Can I use Netfilx on the Xbox 360 in the UK?
    If I download Netflix from the US Marketplace, then ask one of my American friends to give me their Netflix Login details.
    I could Login from my xbox onto his Netflix?

      I really hope not. Netflix is incredibly slow and they don’t have a very good selection.

      There are a ton of good movies that you can watch instantly.
      Just go to netflix.com and above, click where it says “Watch Instantly”. From there, you can browse through the movies that are available to watch and you can also find what movies are good by looking at their star rating.

    Did anyone rent the movie Whip It! on Netfilx?
    I’m asking because the description on both Netflix and Amazon.com say deleted scenes and an alternate opening. But i’ll be damned if I can find a way to access any. The only thing in the “extras” section is some trailers for other movies. Is there an easter egg i’m missing or did Netflix just screw us and send a DVD with no extras?

    If you report damaged DVDs too often to Netfilx, will they “flag” your account?
    My husband and I have recieved several movies from Netfilx lately that have all been scratched and will skip large portions of the movie or won’t play at all. He says that if we keep reporting the damages, they will flag our account and send us movies at a slower rate and that we should just mark the movies “damaged” with a permanent marker and leave it at that. Anyone know anything about it?

      Yes, I do know that they flag your account if you report frequently. but if you send back with the check mark on the sleeve that says ‘damaged dvd’ instead, they will just send you a replacememnt immediately and wont count as ‘report’. you should report only if you dont receive the dvd.

    I want to build a Streaming Video On Demand website but don’t exactly understand how the DRM work?
    I want to do a video streaming site similar to netfilx or hulu but don’t understand how the DRM works. Do I build the site using flash video at first then add the DRM later?
    If so how do I do add it?
    I know this is mostly likely a dumb question but would appreciate the help.

      You could make the site in Drupal or WordPress, then install the Kaltura module which handles all your video stuff including drm and video encoding. it’s a sick module, it even has a video editor built right in…

    So you can’t watch any movie you want? Do they have most movies, and can you watch them instantly from online?

    • ANSWER:
      You can subscribe for a month than cancel if you don’t like it. There are several different options you can choose from: You’ll have to put in your credit card information and it will be a recurring monthly charge, if you don’t want to go past the one month you will need to remember to cancel it before the renewal date. How it works is that you can mail and trade your dvds out at a time (from the plans below) as many times as you want. There is also a lot of movies and TV shows that are available for instant streaming to your TV, Blu Ray Player, X360, PS3, or Wii. There is no limit to the instant streaming you can watch as much as you want all month long. I think they may still offer the introductory 1 month free, but you will have to put a CC on file for them to allow you to receive the movies

      1. 4 DVDs out at a time plus unlimited streaming of instant play movies (on the website): 23.99
      2. 3 DVDs out at a time plus unlimited streaming of instant play movies: 16.99 [I subscribe to this one b/c I watch a ton of movies]

      edit: No, you can’t stream any movie you want. But you can get it shipped to your house. There is a wide variety of movies that are available on instantplay, literally thousands. But they are generally older movies, and any movie that plays on starz. I’ve never had a trouble finding something to watch.

      No it isn’t free. It is very easy 2 sign up. U can usually have up 2 three movies delivered 2 ur house at da same time. Prices vary though. I have the 1 movie at a time 4 like 10 bucks. But its great since I can usually get up 2 about 12 to 15 movies a month 4 those 10 bucks including blu ray. Also the hundreds of movies u can watch instantly on ur computer or stream using ur xbox 360 4 FREE or atleast in no addition 2 ur monthly subscription. Lol netflix.com give it a try if u a big movie person.

      -”Hotel Rwanda”–(PG-13-Drama/Nonfiction—This is the true story of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide—very heartbreaking and hard-to-watch at times but definitely makes one appreciate their life).
      -”I Love You, Man–(R-Comedy—Hilarious movie about a man whose fiancee and friends think he doesn’t have any man best friends for their wedding, so he goes on a “manhunt” very funny).
      -”Jurassic Park”–(PG-13-Action—Wonderfully made for its time period, this has a lot of action and it very well done)
      -”Latter Days”–(R-Romance–This is a very interesting yet controversial film about a young gay man who bets his friends he can sleep with of his new Mormon missionary neighbors but finds out one of them is secretly gay and they fall in love—Beautiful film that showcases the controversial beliefs of the Mormon religion).
      -”Little Miss Sunshine”–(R-Comedy—Very funny and cute at the same time…the little girl is worth watching the movie for on her own!)
      -”Million Dollar Baby”—(PG-13-Drama—One of the saddest movies you will ever see but teaches one a lot about the value of perseverance and overcoming those who are against you).
      -”One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest”—(R-Drama—Very raw portrayal of the inside of a psychiatric hospital…Jack Nicholson is incomparable in this movie as a man who doesn’t feel that he deserves to be in the mental hospital and tries to show the other patients what life is like beyond the walls of the hospital)
      -”Ratatouille”—(G-Animated Comedy/Drama—This is a wonderful movie set in France about a rat who has a unique passion for culinary arts…heartwarming!)
      -”Requiem For a Dream”—(R/NC-17—Drama—This is the most depressing movie ever made…however it is also one of the most important movies I feel I have ever seen. It chronicles the lives of four people as they spiral further and further into drug addiction…not a happy ending
      -”Run Lola Run”—(R-Action/Foreign—This movie is so fast-paced and action-filled…one of my favorites…the movie is in German with English subtitles).
      -”Saving Private Ryan”—(R-War)—Very action filled and sad but also amazingly well done… and very life-like
      -”Schindler’s List”—(R-Nonfiction/Drama)—Heartbreaking true story set during the holocaust about a German official who spared over a thousand Jewish people.
      -”Sherlock Holmes (2009)—(PG-13-Action/mystery)—Very British and snarky…lots of action…and very well acted!)
      -”The Shining”—(R-Horror)—Very complex movie about a man who becomes mentally unstable while tending to a hotel in the mountains for the winter…a little slow at times, but the symbolism is so complex and the movie is so well made, you learn to look past the other flaws).
      -”The Strangers”—(R-Suspense)—Very suspenseful…not very much blood…will keep you on edge hardcore!)
      -”United 93—(R-Drama/Nonfiction)–Very true and heartbreaking retelling of Flight 93, one of the hijacked planes on 9-11….it was so real and so vivid that it was hard to watch…I found myself almost crying…however, it is very well done and important to see, in my opinion)

    Best Netfilx Instant shows?
    Preferably some sort of recent action show. I’ve watched 24(loved it), Lost, Dexter, and Prison Break. Please recommend a show that has some action and not a show where each episode is different. I want a show that has a connected story and actually makes me want to watch the next episode of the show.

      Friday Night Lights! I watched the first 3 seasons on Netflix. Not similar to the ones you’ve watched but I am a fan of Lost and Dexter so I have to suggest Friday Night Lights.

      Weeds is also pretty fun to watch (with episodes being only 22 minutes each, a fast show to watch)
