Can you make two diffrent users or profiles or something lik that so I can watch them?

     You and your sister each need to set up your own profile. Here’s how:

     Each profile can have its own queue, but of course you still can’t exceed the max discs out at a time, so you’ll have to decide how many discs each profile gets to have out.

   Like lets say my parents are downstairs watching something on the wii, and my brother wants to watching something on his pc, and i want to watch something on my xbox. Is this possible w/ netflix?

     I just tried it and it work for the xbox and pc at the same time.

     well i think you should be doing homework too, to just get it over with so you dont have to worry about it later. but if you really want a movie, i would say In Her Shoes, 27 Dresses, Night at the Museum (1 or 2), My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Evan Almighty, She’s the Man, Wild Child, Get Smart, Miss Congeniality, there are PLENTY others. just look around i guess!!

    Do I need to get a Wii console to order Netfix service ?
    I have a LAN line internet connection and a high def TV, is that good enough as long as I have an HDMI line to attach from my computer to the TV to watch Netflix movies?

      Netflix can be streamed through several devices such as computers, Wii Consoles, PS3s, Xbox 360s, Blu-ray Players, and even directly to certain televisions. If you can use the HDTV as a monitor for your computer (it can be HDMI, or VGA, or any other I/O connectors that both support), then you just go to the Netflix website and find the streaming section. Once you select a movie and make it full screen, then that means you are already to sit back and enjoy the movie.

      you have to have a netflix supscription already.. and netflix comes out to the xbox 360 in the fall… the dashboard update… which as more features than netflix…. and in the fall when theres that update select netflix

      They will mail it out on Saturday and you would get it on Monday unless the mail is delayed.

      It’s also possible it went out today. Check your que and it will tell you if the movie has shipped.

      AT&T estimates that 1 minute of streaming video of youtube quality uses 2mb. That rises with the quality of the video.

      You might be thinking of Vongo, it’s more of a download service than rental though

      Hmm… public library. As of right now. Netflix does not support any other way of subscribing and ordering movies other than via the Internet. If your friend really wants to subscribe and does not have a computer that is connected to the Internet, then go to the library and she/he can log on from there.

      It will make it to netflix. The only thing is, is that it has to have the english dubbed version. Ones they have the english dubbed version, you should be able to order and watch it then.

    I have a subscription and the tv and netflix says that the tv has a device built in where it doesnt need another device such as a PS3

      I think the newest Bravias have a ethernet hard wired connection. I’ll assume that you have a slightly older TV which doesn’t have the wired ethernet. I assume your TV has the DMEX connection on the back? If so, buy this:

      which mounts on the back of the TV and plugs into the DMEX port back there.

      Now, you have a decision to make. Do you want a wired ethernet connection or a wireless one? The wired one is obviously simpler and all you need is a cat 5 cable to make a connection from the router or wifi access point (which usually have wired connections too).

      If you want a wireless connection, then you need to buy one more thing, a wireless bridge, which connects to the wired ethernet port on the DMXNV1 and allows that to connect to your wifi.

      Simply take a look at the back of the TV along with your documentation. If the TV has the built-in ethernet, then you can forgo the DMXNV1 device. Everything else would be the same.

      Pros:
      1. Fast shipping
      2. Instant streaming
      3. Lots of rare movies.
      4. Cheap
      5. Instant streaming works on Xbox, PS3, Wii, and some movie players.
      6. Good costumer support

      Cons:
      1.Need to have fast internet for HD Internet Streaming.
      2. Only have certain movies in instant streaming.
      3. No new releases in instant streaming.

      Blockbuster:
      Pros:
      1. Coupons and Rewards
      2. Can rent video games. ( Only from the store)

      Cons:
      1. Costly (lowest price )
      2. Slow shipping (2-4 days to ship)
      3. No instant streaming.
      4. Bad Costumer Support
      5. Movies sent from distribution center must be shipped back to that center and cannot return to the store.
      6. Movies and games rented from the store cannot be shipped back to the center and must be returned to that store.
      7. Too many problems. ex. movies never received and customer support tries to make an excuse.
      8. Movies never ship until you put about 30 or more movies ready to ship on your online list.
      9. They do not ship on weekends.

      My advice choose Netfilx.

    when you have a subscription to netflix can you watch movies on your PC and xbox or do u just purchase a subscription for one or the other?
    so i called netflix and they told me yes you can watch it on both. he told me you could even have someone watching one on a the PC and someone else watching one in another room on the xbox at the same time

      I pay one amount a month to watch movies on dvd, my computer, my wii and my daughter also watches movies on her iPod. We all love it because everyone can watch what they want to.
      They send you a pre pain envelope to send the dvds back when you are done.
      They have different plans that determine how many dvds you can have at home at a certain time and I think it is worth it. Sorry, I don’t own a Xbox but I hope this helps.

    Why is netfix’s options so limited?
    I don’t understand why there are so many movies u can’t watch. For example u wanted to watch toy story, finding nemo, shrek, pay it forward, and the hurricane (and much more) and they all say unavailable. Why

      Because Netflix needs to buy the rights to rent out a film from the movie’s production company. And many of the major movie companies see Netflix as a serious threat to their DVD sales (which is where movie companies plan on all of their profits being; theater tickets are planned on just covering the cost of making the movie), so they refuse to give Netflix the rights to their films (or at least not for any reasonable amount of money), at least for several months.

      Oh yes, I have a Ps3 in the living room that my wife watches netflix on, and a xbox 360 in the bedroom that I will be watching netflix on at the same time. The one account will work fine for both systems.

      it depends on how often you watch DVDs. My mom and I have the plan where we can have three out at a time. Sometimes we watch DVDs almost every night, other times we watch maybe one a month. I’d say look at your current renting habits and then look at the plans they have and decide from there.

    Does Netfix operate globally?
    From what I have found, they only do the movie rentals (via US Postal Service)in the U.S. and some online streaming of movies in other countries, but i want to find out if they do rentals outside the US, and what would be a good country to expand into? China maybe?

      not yet.

      China would suck as you can buy any pirated movie there for about a buck!

      I think Canada is a better choice.

    I prefer Netfix because they have a much better selection of Sherlock Holmes movies, the ones with Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce.

      I have personal reasons why I don’t like blockbuster. The last time I rented a movie they accussed me of not returning it and wanted to charge me over a in late fees. Well I asked for the item number and you know what I actually found the movie in the store. They still wanted the late fees even though I had found the movie. I left and never went back. I have been with netflix for a very long time and have never had issues with them.

      Because there is software out there that can copy anything on your computer Including what on your screen. It’s for copyright laws.

      Usually its because netflix can’t get the rights to it. Or the production agency don’t want to release it to them.

    I live in Canada and recently signed up for netflix. I think its great and will keep it but I am curious as to why I search movies and they are listed as unavailable. Why is this? If the title shows up when you search it, it’s obviously in the Netflix library so why are they “unavailable”?

      I’m not sure which sweepstakes you’re referring to. Almost all sweepstakes are absurd come-ons not even worth thinking about. Now, if the prize is awarded at random, then is there any way to get yourself more than one entry? Can you get 100,000 entries all with your name on them? If you can, it’s a fair guess that someone else has already gotten himself 200,000 entries. If you only get one, well… good luck.

    Why do gays need to be segregated from society?
    Why do need our own genre on Netfix? Why do we need gay friendly work places? Why do need communities? Why can’t we be integrated with rest of society and seen as “normal” like everyone else. What is it that makes us so damn different?

      Vlad, the simple answer is nothing, despite the number of people that would like to ship us all of to an island someplace to fend for ourselves. Personally, I think we should stay and those people should go to the island. But that’s just me.
