   What is xbox 360 gold membership and why do I need it while I use netflicks on my xbox?
   I currently got an xbox 360 and been watching netflicks on it. But, now that I’m trying to use netflicks it says I need a gold membership. I have a netflicks account I pay but I don’t know what exactly I need to to fix the netflicks on my xbox.

     xbox live gold is the paid membership. only with gold u can access netflix, video kinect, play online etc. the account u have is the silver account which is free but does not have all these features. with the silver account u can only download games and movies.(not sure about music). if you want to access netflix then upgrade to gold membership. when you first create a xbox live account u get 1 month free gold membership after that u hav to pay for gold.

   I just recentley got a netflicks account I am in my first 30 days. Why can’t I order movies yet?

     Contact customer service. Sorry, couldn’t be more help. I didn’t have any issues, with trial or membership 2 years ago.

   How Does the Netflicks on 360 work?
   I saw the Microsoft E3 Pretiontation, I want to know if the NetFlicks thing can work w/ a subscription like pay whatever $$ a month and watch a movie not Pay-Per-View.

     The way I understood the way it will work is that you have to have a membership to Netflix and a membership to Xbox Live. Then you are able to watch movies from your queue with no extra charges.

     go to NetFlix and sign on. http://www.netflix.com/WiHome

     The click on the “Your Account” link. You should have already created an account or you wouldn’t be a member of Netflix and receiving movies. But if you somehow haven’t set it up, you can do it on the site. There would be a place to change your email there. Always check the site you’re referring to. You would have easily seen the “Your Account” link.

   How does one create a pop up add, kinda like netflicks?
   you know those irritating pop up ads, how would I create one? Would I have to hire an adware creator?

10. QUESTION:
    How do I connect my notebook computer to a projector to watch my Netflicks?

    • ANSWER:
      Your laptop should have a video ouput, most likely either S-Video, VGA, or DVI. Your projector will need one of those inputs. Go buy the cable, connect it to the projector and the laptop. Hopefully your laptop will auto detect the projector. If not you’ll need to right click your desktop > Properties > the “advanced” tab I think, and look for monitors. You’ll then setup your projector as your primary monitor and the laptop screen as your secondary. And then you can enjoy your netflix on the big screen.

    how does the quere on netflicks work?
    okay,well when i push add on netflicks or save what does that mean?and what does my quere mean.i mean if i want them to come in the mail what do i have to do?

    • ANSWER:
      Add = Place in the shipping queue. When you get it depends on how many movies you have currently and what plan you are on. Added movies go to the end of the queue.

      Save = Place in the shipping queue HOWEVER NetFlix does not have a copy of that movie currently. It will ship when/if they obtain a copy.

    Can I watch netflicks on my IPod touch?
    I’m thinking of buying netflicks for my IPod touch. But Im not sure which generation it is. I bought it this past summer. The netflicks says “video out supported by iPod 4th gen but is that needed to just watch on my IPod?

      what generation is your ipod touch?

      I have the third gen and I can do netflix. I imagine you can do the same if you have a 3g or 4g

    is having to watch a netflicks ad before i watch the young mans video who killed at VT your idea of a joke?
    The broadcasters just made money off of this massacre truly thats all they care about. I just canceled my netflicks!

      You had better stop watching the news as well since they charge advertisers by the amount of people who are watching. So basically, watching CNN or Fox all day is pretty much the same thing as the Netflicks ad except it is less in your face.

    if you have netflicks on your wii and i take it to my friends house will it work?
    she doesn’t have netflicks but i do on my wii, will it still work at her house?

      yes it will work

    Is there a way to check your history of movie you have watched online on netflicks?

    • ANSWER:
      Yep the other person is right you can go under your queue doesn’t matter which and select to see all dvd activity or instant activity or you can click on your account tab on top right corner and there are links on that page as well to see activity on either along with tons of other useful links.

16. QUESTION:
    i want to watch netflicks through our xbox360 on our TV. What do we need to connect to our wireless internet?
    Not sure if it matters, but our xbox is new. (about 2 months old)

    • ANSWER:
      If it is the newer Xbox (it’s black with a silver power button) then it should have built in wireless. You won’t have to buy anything extra. However, if it’s the older version of Xbox, you’ll need to buy a wireless adapter. You’ll also need a subscription of Xbox Live Gold in order to play Netflix on your 360.

    netflicks new releases always a very long wait?
    why are they always at least a long wait for new releases and usually a very long wait? what kind of crap is this? It never fails. Why am I paying 20 bucks a month for this service?

    • ANSWER:
      It’s the same way at any video store. Everyone wants to see the latest releases, so even if they have 50 copies of the biggest hits they’re usually all rented out.

18. QUESTION:
    Ever sent movies (through Blockbuster or Netflicks) to a hospital?
    Hi. A family member was just diagnosed with cancer and will be in the hospital for several months. Has anyone ever sent movies from an online rental place to a patient in the hospital (set up the patient’s hospital address as the regular ship-to address)? Patient has a stable room and address. Thank you!

    • ANSWER:
      I have never used the online places no. But, the patient should have access to the hospitals library which should have a great many educational as well as current entertainment movies both in vhs and dvd.

      The biggest problem I see with that is it getting delivered to him. My hospital, all the mail gets delivered to the same place then their mail room sorts it. I got my mail in the hosp about 3 days after they got it. So, they would just need to keep track of what movies were ordered and that they do in fact make it to him. Even if he does have to change rooms, the mail service will get it to the right place.

19. QUESTION:
    When you put a TV series in your ques on Netflicks do you get one at a time?
    If I order one season does that mean I just get one at a time so I can’t get anything else for weeks until I am done with that one?

    • ANSWER:
      If you have the deal where you can only have 1 dvd out at a time than that dvd of the tv show is your 1 that you can have out and there is usually 5 or more to each season and you can only get 1 at a time so yes if you want to watch the whole season consecutivley than you will only get the tv show for awhile. You could always pay more so you can get more than 1 dvd out at a time or if you want a break just put a movie at the top of your que to come instead of the next tv show dvd. A lot of shows you can watch instantly on your computer than you wont have to get the dvds. and if you have a laptop you can buy these cords for like that make it so whatever is on your laptop is on your tv screen than you can watch tons of stuff instantly on your tv without waiting for the dvd.

    A anime series disapeared off of netflicks instant queue over my xbox 360 whats going on?
    i was watching the series air gear and enjoyed it till i got to episode 11 and stopped watching for 2 days now i go back and it says all the episodes are only avalable via disc exept for episode 21-25…. wtf is going on here?! help please?

      Yep, they do that a lot. Youtube did the same with Blue Gender.
      I was in the middle of one of the ads then Youtube pulled all the videos of Blue Gender off.

      They do that because theres no money letting people watch their show for free. So, if you want to watch older shows you have to pay.

      I love it. Usually a two day turn around for movies: put it in the mail on Monday get a new move on Wednesday. I can’t comment on cancelling because I haven’t done it. I have a friend who uses Blockbuster online. I think he has had a few more damaged discs arrive than I have. Of about 150 movies I’d say only 5 have arrived unplayable. Give it a try. They always offer some free introductory period. Oh, and it is http://www. netflix.com .

      I dont think the length of the cable would cause a problem, maybe if it was wifi. Try doing a speed test (speedtest.net) it is probably a problem with your internet service

      Boxee just came out with a new version that incorporates Netflix streaming, BUT the feature is NOT included in the Apple TV version of Boxee, at least not for now. Sorry dude.

      A VGA to HDMI cable? That’s a good one. People are selling all sorts of scam cables these days.

      save means the movie is not out on dvd yet. If you save it will be in a different list at the bottom of your queue and it will stay there til the movie comes out and then it will jump into your queue. its good to do for movies that you want to keep an eye on for when they come to dvd.

      Sorry, but you can’t.

      It would be nice if Netflix implemented a feature like that, but unfortunately there is no way to clear your history.

    Which is better? Blockbuster or Netflicks for 2008?
    I heard blockbusters prices went up and Netflicks has to get its movies from different distrubution centers, which takes longer.

    • ANSWER:
      Blockbuster

      As for prices going up, atleast where I live, they have changed their rental policy to 99 cents per day per movie. So if you were to use it for the original 4-5 days, if you add it up it might be more expensive, but it is cheaper if you are going to only watch it once, and return it the next day. It gives you more options!

      Also look into their “Rewards program.” Even though it was one of those things they ask and you instantly think its a waste of money and might blow it off….ask for a brochure and look at it. For 9.99/year you get one free movie rental a month, every Monday-Wednesday, its rent one movie, get one free; and there are discounts like, every 4 movie or video game you rent, you get one free no matter what day of the week it is!

      Its kind of a good deal, especially if you rent movies frequently. Whats also good about it is, you can use it at any Blockbuster- which is really good for me, as I signed up for one where I live at home, but can use it at the store near the college I attend!

    Netflicks VS Blockbuster Prices?
    can someone explain the cost each month to me? i can’t decide whether to get netflicks or blockbuster for christmas, but at the end of the day price is most important. do you pay per movie or a standard fee every month?

      I tried to understand the 1st answerer but didn’t get 1/2 of it sorry. If price is what matters then go w/ netflix. I personally got fed up and just paid more for blockbuster but at least I now get the movies I actually ordered. W/ netflix they kept sending me things like One Tree Hill when I ordered Boondock Saints over and over. With either service you pay just one price for the whole month and get as many movies as you want as long as you pick the right plan. For about a month you can get unlimited movies. Here are two links for each service w/ all the prices. Each also have a 2 week free trial so one first then the other and see what works best for you. For some Netflix is faster from some Blockbuster is so it just depends.

      We used to belong to Netflicks but switched to Blockbuster online. Same price, but you also get a free movie coupon to use at the store, and you can also return movies to the store and get another movie right away instead of 3 or 4 days later.

      Yes, you can watchj certain movies online, they are typically older releases and must be viewed using internet explorer, firefox will not play them.

    Netflicks on PS3 please help?
    i know there is a menu that u can bring up on netflicks on a ps3 before the red screen pops up, can someone please help me 10 points to the first person to help.

    • ANSWER:
      You can’t after the first time you use it. You have to delete and redownload Netflix, then you can see it again. The menu only gives you information on registering and asks you to login though. There are no settings or anything you can access from the menu, so it’s essentially useless if you have a Netflix account.

    Should I switch Blockbuster to Netflicks?
    I wanna to switch because blockbuster gonna charge me extra 20% of my plan, and their shipping speed was slow, at one time took the 5 business day just to shipped 1 movie. However is getting much faster now after i file a complain. I still wanna to switch mainly due to lower cost, will netflicks increase their price soon?

      YES….we are dropping them after 10 yrs of loyality. The have increased our rates 3 times over the last 12 months. For the same price as Blockbuster I can get 5 movies at a time through Netflicks with unlimited online view of movies.

      I have netflix and i have found a lot of movies that i haven’t found in other places.. you can look them up on the site so you know for sure.. i love it.

      I’ve used both and I also like Blockbuster better. It’s really a quick delivery and there are like ten different plans you can choose from. Plus you can take them to the store and trade them in for a new movie which is great if you’re impatient like me or just bored.

      I’m not sure about the free trial, but I know that if you wish to keep using netflix, you are going to need to give them your credit card number at some point. As for the Harry Potter movies, pretty sure they have all of them, except for the new one that hasn’t come out yet. While the movies are on, your ps3, they do take up space, but you ps3 is built for that so you shouldn’t have to worry about your hard drive getting too full. Lastly, the speed at which your movies download all depends on what kind of internet you have, If you have a super fast connection from your cable company or something, then it will go fairly quickly. You have to keep in mind though that we are talking about fairly large media files, so be patient.

    Anyone got netflicks able to watch the 300?
    I waited at 2 weeks, 300 still in a long waited list, for blue-ray version, wtf? net flicks suck.

      I can hardly beleive they are still in business after blockbuster got on board with on line rentals. Net flix was the worse money I ever spent on a subscription plan. Their service is horrid, you have to wait a week to complain and only can do so online. Not even possible to speak with someon on the phone.

      Blockbuster is the way to go. They have outstanding customer support in every respect plus their turnaround time is consistent 3-4 days max. You also have the option to return your movies in the local store and trade them for movies from the store which allows you the option to get a newly released dvd from the store before the on line distribution center even has it available. Not only do you get the trade in ability in the store but it does not affect your on line queue. When you return the mailers in the store they are entered right away as received and yor next three in line are shipped out within a day or two plus you have the extra three from teh store to tide you over until those arrive. You just can’t beat their service.

      If you ever have the slightest complaint you can call them and speak to someone on the phone who will almost always offer you a free in store coupon for an extra movie just to appease you as a customer.

    I am wondering what netflicks is like. I’d really like to be able to play movies on my pc most. Is it really around a month? If not what are the costs like?

      They have all sorts of plans. The cheapest one is . They offer a free trial. You could always check it out and see if you like it.

      Honestly if the whole reason you want to sign up is to watch movies on your PC then I don’t think it is worth it. They don’t have the new releases available to be watched online… it is all older movies and honestly it isn’t a big selection. Everytime I have searched for a movie that I wanted to watch online they didn’t have it.

      We have used netflix for several years and love it as far as renting DVDs. We can watch several movies a month for the cost of going to 1 movie or even buying 1 movie.

      I dunno really about all that but I know that you can purchase the Redbox kiosks and stuff cause they are a franchise and they load the movies and everything for you, you just purchase the box and put it at a location. That is probably your best best because there is really no market right now for rental stores, Movie Gallery/Hollywood Video is on its way out and I’m sure Blockbuster is gonna be gone too, I thought about doing the redbox thing especially with video games and blurays its very lucrative
