Netflix Blu Ray

was using the PS3 in my living room with the HDMI cable and was able to use Netflix perfectly on it but now PS3 has been replaced by the blueray BD-c6900. Problem begins when i try to use Netflix on this player as it audio is out of synchronizing with the video and asmoviegoes on playing further, It gets more worse. If i pause it or stop it then it seems to be resync again which solves this problem for some time.

There should be a problem with the HDMI cable which you are using with the BD-c6900 on your Television. Isuggestyou to change the HDMI cable andcheckthat whether your problem gets solved or not. It might happen that there would be some different HDMI cable asked by your TV or a blue ray player.

There must be some problem in the Disc itself which would not be having proper synchronizing of audio with that of the video. This should be something problem with the disc. I think you should try some more Discs on your player and check whether it is happening for all the CDs or not.

Actually it could be the problem with an internet connection. When youstreammovies/videosfrom an internet then video takes but more time then that of the audio files. So if your internet connection does not replies inconsistently then this kind of issue can persist on your BD player. Check that your internet connection is responding the enough speed or not.

I agree that the synchronizing of an audio with the videos can go wrong while streaming the videos from your Blue Ray Disc Player.
But what if it is happening while playing the discs from the player as well then there could be problem regarding the BD player. If there are any problem in your Blue Ray Player then all you can do is resetting your player and nothing else.

I have faced the same problem on my Blue Ray player as it can stream the videos from the computer system and it plays well from the disc also but when i try to stream the videos from the Netfilx then they keep on lagging according to the videos.
But how could it work perfectly for theyoutubeas i havestreamedmany videos from youtube and never seen any this kind of problems. If it would be internet issue then even youtube should have lagged while streaming.

      netflix does not stream 1080p content (1080p == the resolution of blu ray). HD != bluray. it can be anything 720p or over. also, not everything netflix streams is HD. when you start the stream, it will have an “HD” icon if it is. generalli’d say the streamed, HD movies look worse than DVD quality but still reasonable.

      the selection of streamable movies on netflix is really sad. the movies are mostly old and B quality. too bad, it’s a great service otherwise.

      You want to stream HD movies using your internet connection right? What speed do you subscribe to? 3.5mbps (that’s megaBITS not megaBYTES, all internet companies use this format to fool you into thinking your getting faster internet) is good enough for 720p but if you want 1080p you need to go for 8mbps for a smooth experience. As for the ethernet adapter, either one of those would be fine but just because you have an 85mbps cable doesn’t mean your streaming that fast, it just depends of your connection. For example, connecting an 85mbps cable to a 3.5mbps connection is like putting ferrarri tires on a prius in hopes it will make you go faster.
      edit: ok im sorry, yes 85mbps is plenty for your movies.

      Netflix will only you send you the movie in Blu-ray format if it’s available. Otherwise, you’ll just get the DVD version. I’m not sure if you can change what’s already in your “Queue” (back to DVD), but when you’ve switched your account to Blu-ray, and you add a disc to your queue, they tell you what other formats (DVD or HD-DVD) the movie is in an effort to let you choose.

      But best of all, you can switch your account from Blu-ray and back again as often as you like. Netflix will ask you if you want to change the movies already in your queue which have Blu-ray Disc versions released over to that format (removing the DVD versions). They’re pretty flexible.

      You’re not streaming a Blu-ray. (Blu-ray isn’t a format, it’s a storage medium.) What you’re doing is streaming a movie over the internet. The Blu-ray just serves as the media server.

      I believe some of the movies are in HD quality, but none of them have surround sound. I don’t have one of these players, but from what I understand the streaming quality is fine for documentaries and TV shows, but not so much with the action movies.

      I have been ordering bluray movies for 2 months now and so far they have not had to contact me regarding a shortage and every movie I’ve wanted on bluray has been available. Its an extra a month on top of the subscription you sign up for (I.E. 1 disc out at a time is .95 + bluray rental= .95 a month, remember this is an example, I forget the actual subscription costs)

      Its really worth it since you can’t find bargain blurays like you do for DVDs now, if that was the case, my bluray collection would be bigger lol

      At the moment your choices are still somewhat limited, but that will be changing soon. If you want something _right_now_ you’ll still be looking at the new Samsung models that load considerably faster. The BDP 1600, which replaced the 1500 model, or there is always a higher up/more expensive Samsung you could get. Or you could go with an LG. I think the Samsung would be a better choice. You could find a 1600 on Ebay for about 5. Walmart sells (online) the model 1590 which is basically a 1600 with a slightly different face to it and sells for less than the 1600 in the stores. They sell for about the same in Ebay.
      However, Sony just announced that they will start selling next month a new player that will stream Netflix once they have a firmware upgrade ready later this fall. (0) No reviews yet on that model as it has just barely been announced. It will probably be similar to their 360 model or perhaps a bit better.

    I have had Netflix for a while, but never rented blu-rays from them. I looked into it a little bit and it says that to receive blu-ray dvds you need to accept a monthly charge. I would like to rent blu-ray dvds from them but I only rent blu-ray movies if:

    1) They have been filmed in High Definition
    2) The movie is worth the High Definition (War movies, etc.)

      It’s up to you to go in and manually choose each title to be rented on Blu-ray.

      The first answer is good. If your blu ray supports netflix, you have to register with netflix to start the process. When you do get connected, the screen will give you a code to register the player with netflix.

    I want to sign up to Netflix and use it on my PS3, but before I do I want to know if I can stream Blu-Ray with my not so fast internet(AT&T High Speed Express 1.5Mb/s), even if I have to wait for buffering. That would be good enough for me as long as I can stream, otherwise I would just have to get them by mail. But hopefully I can just stream them instead of ordering them.       When I first discovered YouTube I was very disappointed with it. It would stop every 10 seconds or so to rebuffer. I thought it was my Internet connection but when I tried it again a few months later it worked fine. So I’m guessing it was YouTube.

      Anyway, Netflix streaming works for me very well. Not all the movies are HD, in fact they are a range of different resolutions and aspect ratios. But I only get the re-buffering once in a great while, like once or twice a month.

      We have a Roku box to stream Netflix (and a lot more stuff) through our WiFi network onto the TV. And that also works very well, surprisingly well. And we have the cheapest, most plain-vanilla DSL service (though probably not as bad or slow as AT&T). We spend a lot more time watching Netflix online than over the mail, more than we thought we would, partly because it just works so well!

      It’s likely your sister needs to log into her account and “deactivate” your blu-ray player that is associated with her account. Once the link is broken the device should prompt to re-establish a link to a new or existing account. If that doesn’t work I’d call Netflix and say you purchased the player used and would like to use it with your account. I didn’t find anything in their Terms of Service that says it’s against policy to share an account but I’d omit that info to avoid any problems in the event there was some fine print I missed (just to save yourself and your sister heartache from a technicality if such a share policy does exist).

    how do I connect my blu ray player to netflix?
    I just got done setting up my new tv its a tobisha and my blu ray player is a sony. I have wireless internet in my house for my laptop, etc, but I dont know how to connect that to my blu ray player to connect it to the internet and netflix I briefly looked it up and found something about a cable.. is it really necessary to buy a new router and stuff!?

    • ANSWER:
      Fastest way to solve your problem, is to read your blu ray manual. If you don’t have one, google your model along with search words for connecting it up via wirelessly. It sure would be nice if you would include model #s in your question.

      Go to Video, then Netflix as if you were going to watch. Press Options on the remote, select Account and follow prompts from there.

    can we order movies through mail and have the actually copy (disc) of it for blu ray movies? what about regular dvds? if not will we ever be able to? and how much extra would it cost with the blu ray? i heard it was 10$ but idk…..THANKS!

      If you have a streaming only plan, you have to upgrade to a DVD membership(1,2,3,4 discs at a time, your choice). Then you have to upgrade to blu-ray on the Netflix website. It’s an additional per month over DVDs.

    Does anyone else get Blu-Ray discs from NetFlix that are cracked?
    I have had 5 Blu-Rays in the past month from NetFlix that have a crack in the same spot – the outer edge. I got another one day. I am heistating to report it as damaged because I have reported the others and I’m afraid they’ll suspend my account.

    Anyone else having this happen?

      I never have, but I stopped using NetFlix because right now we are broke. LOL.

      I like netflix, and I plan to rejoin when I can.

      When I did use it, I never got sent bad DVDS, but I’m sure it happens…it could have got cracked in the mail though. I do remember that the packing for Net Flix wasn’t that great considering it’s a DVD. It’s just in a paper envelope.

      Maybe your mail carrier is too rough on your mail.

    how to use netflix streaming with a blu ray player?
    I just ordered a LG BD530 blu ray player it says it has netflix i have owned a blu ray player before i just never used the netflix streaming. i dont know if there is something i have to buy to go with it or install something or what.

      You need to get a Netflix account and pay a monthly fee to use Netflix streaming. Go to Netflix.com. I use Netflix streaming thru my Playstation 3 and I’m on a plan that lets me have two DVD’s checked out at a time. I think you can get a free 30 day trial for new customers.

      You will need an Internet connection plugged into your blu ray player too.
