     They don’t make it available to you. You have to submit problems/etc through their website submission process

     When you are logged in, go to the bottom of the page, click on help
     then there is a box in the lower right that says “Contact Customer Service” and you select the topic. I think they don’t want you to be able to directly contact them, they want to filter you down, trying to solve the problem with canned responses on the site before you actually contact them. Software doesn’t work by the hour.

      yes you can port your home number into be a cell number. You just need to ask the provider to do it for you. FYI do not cancel your services the line needs to be active for the port to complete and it can take up to 30 days for landline ports to complete depending on how fast the landline side releases the number!
      Call the provider you choose to get complete details!

      My suggestion is to disconnect the internet from your TV and reconnect. I think the reason for your problem is that the TV connection is timing out.

      To get the correct answer you need to call the company to which you want to transfer your phone service. There are quite a few variables involved, and they are the only ones who can tell you if there is any way to maintain your current number.

      try the netflix site for a locator. Or just report your problem to the corporate office (link should be at the site). I had problems with a “Movie Gallery” chain in Cabot Arkansas , so i went over their head and emailed the corporate offices via an online complaint form – solved the problem.

      unless you clear your cache or history, you will stay signed in and I have also never had any personal problems with netflix. if you are sharing your computer which I am not, than you most certainly sign out each time.

    I really love my netflix, I am a movie fanatic and it has been great. But lately, my turn around time is really bad, it takes them like 3-7 days to get movies I sent and sometimes 2-3 days to get the ones they send me. When you try to contact them first you notice there is no telephone number anywhere on the website or anywhere in the liturature you recieved when you first joined.Then that they only have these pre-filled in for a specific issue e-mails and as far as I can tell.NO PHONE NUMBER?!??! How much more proof that there is no longer any customer service. This company didnt even bother to have a department or so it seems?! If anyone knows of any way to call or e-mail (your own subject and text) Netflix, I would love to know. Thanks beforehand for your help.

      I had the same problem about a year ago and I was finally able to get an answer. If you read the fine print, you’ll find that Netflix has a penalty program. If you are returning too many movies too fast they don’t make a profit. Therefore, they put you on a wait so every movie comes a day later and you don’t get the new releases right away. I couldn’t belive it but it does show in the contract. I used netflix and blockbuster for 8 weeks and tracked every movie that I got and when I mailed them back. On average, I will recieve 93 more movies through blockbuster then I will with netflix.
      Also, blockbuster just changed its program to allow even more rentals. Now you can get 3 at a time+one free in store coupon+and all the envelopes that are ready to be mailed back you can take to the store and exchange every envelope for another movie. I get an average of 12 movies a week now all for .99.

      ext usually mean Extension… when you call a certain number they will extend you to a different number. But to use netflix on the wii, you will need a Netflix account adn you will need to have them send a netflix disc to you. This will be the only way you can watch videos on demand on the Wii.

    So, My load time recently jumped from 26 seconds to 26 minutes on ‘watch instantly’ half hour episodes. I’d like to fire off an email because my speed has not dropped for any other sites, and I am still getting 300k. All I can find is a stupid phone number! I hate the phone.       There is no limit to how much you can watch on ur xbox. there is a decent amount of anime on there. if u have something specific ur loooking for its probably a 50/50 chance of it being on there. they add more every so often. u can have i think 5 devices for the 7.99 per month charge. just check it out and try it.

    Hey people, its been a couple of days now and i’ve been getting a phone call from some prank caller who always says that they are from netflix. It’s been pretty annoying and the last time they called, i lost it and cursed them out and told them not to call my phone again. Just a couple of minutes ago, i got a call from them again and they left a message saying something about foul language and prosecuting me or something. Don’t worry, i know that they are lying because first of all they can’t prosecute me for cursing, and secondly, he said that they will send a letter to my house, and they have no idea where i live.

So I subscribed to Netflix’s first free month trial, and Blockbuster, which I was planning on doing before anyways. I was taken to their(Netflix and blockbuster) actual website to start my subscription. But now I’m worried that I might be a victim of ID theft. I did gave away my email address, home address, and phone number, but when I entered in my credit card information, it was at blockbuster website and netflix’s. Do you think they can still get my credit card information?? What usually happens when you give out these informations

      worst thats gonna happen is your going to get alot of junk such as, alot of phone calls (change your phone number), alot of junk mail sent to your home (just tear it u and throw it into the trash) and alot of emails, (just make a new email), and problem solved, so if you are still worried about your credit card number, you can talk to the bank about that. Im guessing you used one of those get paid to take survey things where you do some surveys and they pay you? just use fake info on those if you continue to do that, if not then ignore that last part. good luck

    I ran into a problem?
    I have a PS3 and Netflix is already downloaded. One day I went to see what it was like and so I hit ‘Sign-In’. It said ‘Are you a new user or an existing?’ Now my dad already has a Netflix account setup for the computer. So I just wanted to see how the beginning options were if you were to hit ‘New user’. So I did and eventually I quit. I didn’t make a new account though. Now the other day my dad came up with the idea to hook my PS3 downstairs to the TV and so I did, I still had internet connection too. So we sat on the couch and hit Netflix on the PS3 and it directly sent me to the New User feature thing. I thought it was just an ad (which would be really stupid. Here’s an ad for the thing your using!) and so I hit next since there were no avavaible options and it sent me to the screen where you have to sign up with all of the Credit Card Number and Phone Number junk. I exited and tried again, receiving the same results as the previous time. My dad then called up Netflix and asked what was going on. They said they will send him an email on how to do it but he never got an email. What do I have to do? Do I have to delete it and download it again? Please help, we like Netflix it just won’t work for our systems.

The next week I come in on a Tuesday and she wasn’t there (she’s aware I come in on Tuesdays). So went in on a Thursday, got her as a cashier and told her what happened. She said that she had to do some stuff early that day and that I may have called her when she was talking to someone on the phone. She then tells me she has a day off Sunday, I tell her I got a family get together that day, and she says to call her when I get done and maybe we could do something. So I gave her my cellphone number, she set it on the register, and as I walked away she called me Joseph based on my reward zone account (it my dads account actually) even though she said she knew my name was Justin the week before. So I call her Sunday three times and it to voicemail everytime (she never called me either). So I go in the next week to see what would happen. As I walked towards her register, she looked at another cashier and asked to take over for her while she went to the bathroom (I got a haircut that week so “maybe” she didn’t recognize me). Was this girl just messing around me? Was it a waist of time to have bothered asking her out?

      Wow, that sucks. I don’t think she was messing with you but I think she didn’t want to get serious or start dating or anything. If it was just a first time incidence of her ignoring you then that would be fine. But this happened more than once and it’s obvious that she’s not really into it. I suggest that you move on and when you see her at Best Buy just tell her hello. Don’t question it anymore. I also suggest that you try talking to her about it one more time.     I’m curious, because there was a time when they were a fairly dependable brand you didn’t have to put up with a lot of B.S. from. However, all that seems to have changed. I bought one of their media players the other day…

    Yes, I know. I should have hooked up the home theater to a proper wireless access point, but I was being lazy about it and let’s face it, the process of hooking into your wireless internet doesn’t get much easier than they made it for the PS3.

    Anyway, I buy the thing, install it and hook it up to the internet, and try to use Netflix… at which point it promptly tells me I must register the product BEFORE I can use the service. Okay. I try a different program. Every one is the same. Register the product before you can use the service.

    Mind you, I paid for the box. I pay for the internet connection. I pay for the online service I’m trying to access. At that point, it’s beyond rude to tell me I have to register the device before I can even hook it up to see if it works properly.

    Fine, though… I suppose if I have to give my email address to them, whatev. Of course, they try to sneak in the “promotional emails” bit, but you can turn that off because the law says they have to let you opt out.

    However, when I get to the registration process, not only do they want my email address, but they want my street address (not necessary), and my phone number… which is the “light-bulb” moment.

    While U.S. law says they have to let you opt out of junk email programs, and you can actually tell the post office to issue a cease and desist notice for unwanted mail (which they are required by law to follow), the law says if you have an “existing business relationship” with a company, then they and their subsidiaries and affiliates may conveniently disregard you being on a “do not call” list and pester the Hell out of you, and there isn’t a thing you can do about it short of cancelling your phone service.

    In other words, Sony won’t let you so much as test out the product to see if it works until you first agree to subject yourself to their telemarketing program, and let’s face it, that is a completely @$$ thing to try and pull with your customers.

    Were I a vulgar man, that would have been the point where I cussed them out. Being slightly more refined, I simply returned the product with a polite “futuite vos ipsa et caballos vexisses”.

    So, what’s the deal? Is this because their market share has slipped that badly, because we’ve all taken so much leave of our senses we’d actually tolerate that sort of nonsense, or were they recently acquired by Nigerian spam-scammers?

    If ripped off by online rental site, what should you do?
    A week ago I subscribed to an online service called Gottaplay, a rental service for video games following the Netflix model. To date Gottaplay hasn’t sent any games to me, though my credit card has been charged for 2-games-at-a-time service. Five days ago I contacted Gottaplay about this through their web site, and haven’t received a reply. Two days ago I contacted them again through e-mail asking them to cancel my service and provide a refund–because Gottaplay’s web site guarantees:”we get you the games you rent faster than any rental company”–and there’s been no reply yet. I dialed Gottaplay’s only phone number and reached a recording asking me to contact Gottaplay through their web site or e-mail. So my question is, what should a consumer do when after paying for service receives reduced or no service? Also, If Gottaplay begins to send me games sometime this week, should I just forget about the week-plus where nothing happened?     This kid was harassing me and my boyfriend for about a year. He was hacking our facebooks, emails, using our netflix, canceling our plane tickets to Europe, and many more things. Finally, the cops got really serious and they went to his house. They picked him up and questioned him. He admitted to hacking our facebooks and emails. He claimed to be doing it because he was in love with me and didn’t want me to be with my boyfriend. He found out my address, my middle name (which i’ve kept a secret from everyone), my phone number, emails, etc. The cop said that he said some other stuff and sounded as if he knew me well. I only had two conversations with this kid. He used to be my boyfriends best friend but he was always incredibly rude to me. The cops sent him to the county jail for a week and made him have psychological tests. He was in for a week and they sent him home but he still had to do more psychological tests. Why did they make him do more psychological tests? Do they think that something is actually wrong with him? My boyfriend thinks that he might be trying to plea insanity. Could that be true? Please help. I really don’t know anything about psychological tests.

      there are a wide variety of tests out there. it’s hard to say exactly what they gave him at the jail, but some of them also take time to administrate (IQ tests take a couple of hours, for example)

      also, for some tests, you need as much background information on a person as you can get — and that means requesting records from various places (such as schools, getting police reports, etc). those things take time

      so they released him after a week but he may still need to have interviews with the psychologist because one week is not enough time for a decent evaluation of a person’s mental state.

      it may not mean there is anything wrong with the guy, aside from the obvious

    Im trying to find full episodes of season 6- episodes 1 through 13 I think they are up to now. I want to catch up before the series finale next month. only some are on abc.com so I already tried that.       It sounds good except for 2 things. Is the K your emergency fund? Is your emergency fund equal to 6-12 months of your income? If so, you should put it in a money market fund or a Bank of America Risk Free CD so that you can get the money if you need it. Stocks take time to liquidate and in an emergency you may need the money faster. Do you have a Roth IRA? If not, start one right away and make the maximum contribution (00) each year (or 6.67 per month). If you start your Roth now and contribute the maximum every year, you will be a millionaire when you retire. Just stay away from credit cards and don’t finance things (like cars) that lose value over time. When you have paid off your car (pay it off as early as possible) then start paying that payment to yourself. After one year you will have 16, after 5 years you will have ,580 to pay cash for a car (plus the interest). If you keep paying yourself the car “payment” you will always be able to pay cash for your vehicles and you will get the interest not pay interest.

    I had been noticing charges being posted to my account every month. At first i disregarded it but since the last 2 months i have been keeping a very close eye on my statements. (online banking comes in very handy here)

    I finally called up the number posted with this transaction. At first the customer service could not even locate any of my information. I provided my Name, Number, Zip code, email address ( as the lady on the phone was “oh it because you must have shopped online) So i gave her my mailing address as well as my email address (the email address i receive my shopping confirmation emails at) and she still could not find me in their system!

    I finally get a supervisor on the phone. He asked me which day the transaction posts on my credit card statement. When I told him the it posts on the 17th / 18th of every month he said ” when you purchased movie tickets at movietickets.com you signed up for this”.

    When I made it very clear that i did no such thing as i know the services i have (netflix, rhapsody etc) he said he would refund me my . I told him I am going to call consumer reports, my bank and movietickets and that’s when he said he will refund all the charges ( in total)

    SO please be VERY CAREFUL while using movietickets.com.
    i think its like one of those email subscription things…..but with NO CHECK BOX!!!

      Yes you should be able to afford those things with a 50k a year job. Those expenses are all based on your lifestyle…what kind of car, eating out or in home, how many hours of school, etc. It’s hard for us who don’t know you to tell you but 50k a year for a young single male should be plenty to survive.

      Oh and with a decent income try to budget some for savings. That will be important as you get older. Check with your employer and see if they have a 401k plan. If I were you and they do have a 401k plan that matches contributions I would at least contribute to receive the full company match. That’s free money from your company.

    can”t connect a Cisco Linksys WET610N wireless bridge to a AT&T 2WIRE router?
    hello, just bought netflix for my home, have it hooked to the ps3 in living room, i need to hook it up to the 3 sony blu-ray player in the bedrooms so me and my kids can use the netflix in bed, blu-ray player model # is BDP-N460 they don’t have wi-fi built in, so i bought 1 cisco linksys wet610n wireless bridge to start on one of them. need to connect it to my 2wire AT&T router that runs my whole house with no problems (2wire model # is 2701HG-B). I install the disc that the wet610n came with, (followed steps the the letter) it 1.)configured the wireless bridge, 2.)verified the settings, next says GO WIRELESS, so it finds my network, i put in the WEP 10 number security key, again configured bridge, verifying settings and it stops and says “ERROR 109: your device cannot be found using a wireless connection” now i have unpluged both 2wire and wet610n and tried again, same thing, called both at&t and linksys (over 3hrs between both) linksys had me call at&t back to change the channel on my route to “9″, still not working, IP address on linksys is 192.168.1.71 and IP on 2wire is 192.168.1.254 i’ve looked into the ip for 2wire and it shows wet610n on my network, still doesnt work wirelessly. at this point i’m just short of returning the linksys? will this ever work? is it possible? what am i missing? plz help with step by step so i don’t mess up any instructions! thanks again just don’t wanna sit all day on phone and not getting anywhere! thx again for any help!       On your AT&T 2WIRE router check if you have Enable the Wireless MAC filter on your Router , If its Enable then you need to Disable it and then try to connect the Bridge to your Wireless Network…

      Also test to see if you are able to connect using your PC, Mac, or PS3 as opposed to your blu-ray player.

    O.k. a little history and I’ll bring you up to speed.

    We’ve been together a little over 6 months. We’re in our 20′s so this isn’t high school drama, but even I feel like it is a little and just want some outside perspective.

    From my side, the last 3 or 4 girlfriends have cheated on me, and looking back the clues were obvious, but I don’t know.

    I work in law but I keep pretty decent hours 9am – 6pm no worries good pay.

    She is finishing school, no classes for the summer though and she is working her new job at pizza hut, and from what I can tell they are pretty good people and she likes working with them. She primarily works from 11am – 7pm.

    While I was working and she wasn’t;

    Texts all day long from her asking how my day was. She would hound me about what we would be doing together whenever I was not in the office. (not complaining I kinda liked being missed honestly it was a change of pace for me.) Whenever I was not exhausted from the work I would come home, and we would go back out together and do something small like dinner or a movie, or just stay home and pick a show on netflix. I hung out with her friends and she hung out with mine.

    Now to the past week or so. She carries her cell phone everywhere. She has begun turning away from me when she is texting so I can’t see it. We used to just text around each other all the time or talk about who were texting. One time her cell rang and I went to grab it for her since she was in the other room, and she freaked out ran over and beat me to it. It was one of the guys she works with now at pizza hut.

    This saturday is 7 months. Normally she makes a big deal about “anniversary” dates. When I asked her what she wanted to do, she told me she was gonna go drinking with friends from work and hang out by the pool saturday. At first I was fine because I know she is trying to hang out with friends while she has the free time before school picks back up and she hits the books again, but as this week went along, it went from everyone from work to just her Arman (the guy who called her) and his brother hanging out drinking by the pool.

    I became uncomfortable with this. She gets a little “friendly” when she drinks and when I asked more about why the number of people dropped she got defensive.

    I found out today, that on her day off this past monday, her trip to the movies with a group of friends from school, got cancelled and turned into a trip to the beach, which Arman got invited to once the plans changed.

    Also, since Monday, she has been shunning advances and not being her usual “aggressive self.” (sorry to be vague I’m trying to keep the question PG in nature)

    When I asked her about it today, she said it was because she is getting used to being at work all day, and is adjusting to the new schedule, and got pissed that I brought it up. On the flip sideprior to this week, if I came home late from work and was tired after trial, she would get pushy with me about “you know what” and ask me if I didn’t find her attractive.

    On one hand I am confused, the lack of communication is weird, she knows that it has only been a few months and I’ve told her about my past with cheating and that if she wanted to see other people just tell me and we’d take a break. I’m not clingy, but I do like to be committed.

    So just from what you can read what do ya’ll think?

    And how do I approach this?

    If this is just work and her getting used to a new group of friends how can I not be a jerk about this?

    If it is cheating, how do I call her on it and sift through possible excuses and lies?

      Hello Jera,

      I don’t normally answer love relationship questions. But, since I am old enough to be your grandfather I will tell you what’s happening.

      A significant number of women, (and all you women who read this – remain quiet because you know it’s true and I don’t want to hear you whining on me) move from one relationship to another. But, they don’t just “quit” and say, “Good Bye” and move on as a single person. I can respect that.

      Many women stay in the current relationship while they are “searching” for someone they like “better than you” to “jump ship” (Navy expression) and THEN tell you good bye and start up with a new man.

      The clues are that they start to distant themselves, sexually, from you. See, once a woman finds someone else they like better than you and start to have sex with them, then, they find reasons to push you away.

      The stupid thing that she is doing is “texting” while in your presence. That, itself, is a form of “confession.” “Going out with the work people at Pizza Hut?” That doesn’t happen. People who work at Pizza Hut for those lower wages don’t go out partying with each other. They go to work and then go home to their separate lives.

      She thinks you are “stupid” that you would not guess who is texting her on her cell phone, especially, the way she is protective of it and hiding it from you.

      SO.. here is what “I” would do.

      If she lives with you in your house/apartment I would tell her to pack up her things and get out and go with “Arman.” It’s your place and you can evict anyone you don’t want in your place.

      If YOU live in her place then when she is working you pack up your “stuff” and be gone before she returns home. I don’t care who you go to.. a buddy.. go home to your parents… whomever.. And if she calls don’t answer the phone.

      This girl is not loyal to you and she is … well… there are words that men use to describe such people.

      So you are in your 20s. Were you going to marry her? She is meeting new people all the time in school and whomever is flirting with her as a waitress at Pizza Hut. Well, let her take her chances jumping from new man to new man. You don’t need her. If you were thinking of asking her to marry you the marriage would cost you money and 6 months to a year later she would be straying and cheating. And, it would cost you around ,000 more for a divorce and lawyer fees and splitting up YOUR STUFF with her.

      Forget this worthless person. Leave and don’t give any explanations to her. Just (if you have to say something) say; “I don’t want to be with you any longer.” Let her realize that “she” caused it by her infidelity to you. That is the best teaching you can impart to her for her future. Then, maybe, she will be sure about whom she jumps into bed with when she is in a relationship with someone at the same time.

      Dump her. You might feel sad now.. but you will thank me 10 years from now.

    My neighbor’s cats keep pooping in my yard. How do I stop it?
    First of all, I did an exhaustive search of the web to figure this problem out. Second, I spent a great deal of money on sprays, chemicals, and spices to stop this from occurring. Let us do a little background shall we?

    My neighbor decided about 5-6 years ago to bring home a female kitten. This kitten grew and started going into heat so instead of getting the cat spayed, she just kicked it out. She replaced the female with a male kitten that eventually grew and started spraying the house so she kicked that cat out also. Male and female hump, have a litter of kittens and then there was 7 cats. One of the offspring impregnated mother cat and 7 cats became a family of 13 cats some obviously inbred. A few got hit, and a few got pregnant, but somehow the number stays around 12-13 cats. We live in the suburbs in a really clean and quiet community so at midnight, when cats start fighting, it scares the s**t out of people because we can leave our windows open without fear of burglars and/or rapists. Anyhow, over the past several years, the cats have inbred so much that one actually has an undeveloped twin stuck on it’s back. That’s the history of where we are at now.

    I made hundreds if not thousands of inquiries both on the net and over the phone to seek guidance on alleviating this problem to no avail. I see hundreds of blogs and websites that seem to promote just accepting the cat problem or whatever. I even see suggestions like: “Put out a litter box for them to poop in”, or spend 0 on automated sprinklers, etc. I don’t think so.

    My kids play in the back yard and every other day, one of the freak cats from next door poops under the wooden swingset (stones). I paid almost ,000 to have my front and side yard landscaped professionally and the freak cats from next door keep pooping in the mulch.

    Here is my dilemma: They are not my cats, therefore, I will not pay anymore to buy useless chemicals that don’t work. I will not buy wire mesh to place over my mulch, plant upside down forks, mix rose bush thorns in the mulch, put nasty smelling moth balls all over my yard, put eggshells where they do their business, sprinkle 3lbs of cayenne pepper all over every other day, buy a dog, or a BB gun. I also will not sit like a freaking sniper behind bushes for hours with a super-soaker to spray them. No… I found a better method.

    Before I speak of that method, I have a few things to say to the backwoods cat lovers that say “they were here first” or “cats are people too” – B.S. These cats were kittens well over two years after I bought this house. The rotten little things don’t pay my mortgage, clean up after themselves, cook me dinner, pay my taxes, or add any aesthetic value to my property. Cats are not people or remotely close to it. How would you “cat Lovers” like it if my kids and I walked over to your yard and started dropping loaves all over your landscaping and near your swingset?

    So here’s what I did to alleviate the stray cat problem- I went to the local (about 60 miles away) farm supply store and bought 2 of those live animal traps. I stopped at my local grocery store and purchased a half dozen cans of cat food and cheap plastic bowls. Six nights in a row, I placed the trap inside my garage with a cheap bowl full of Purina and watched Netflix. Every night, no fail, I would hear the traps spring shut and a lot of hissing. Around 1am every night, I packed the little s**t factories into my trunk and drove about 8 miles to the local trailer park. I dropped off said s**t factories and cheap plastic bowl full of food at every trailer I could find that had a Taurus with 18-20 inch rims on it. Suffice to say, I have not had to pick up a cat turd from my yard in over 6 months now and have yet to see a single cat in our neighborhood running around freely.

    Cost: for two traps, for 24 plastic bowls, .50 for a few cans of cat food, and for gas.

    Peace of mind knowing my yard has no poop and the trailer park is in worse shape: priceless

      I laughed my butt off when you explained how you solved your problem since it was the same thing I was going to suggest minus the trailer park were I live we have an island in the river were a large population of drug dealers and welfare recipiants live the cats are afraid to cross the bridge so once you drop them off they’re stuck.       Yes, good job on the budget! I wish more people would plan ahead like this. I don’t know your circumstances, but in the next few years you may want to think about buying a place instead of renting (and it’s definitely a buyers’ market in many areas of the country), so keep saving. You could ladder CD’s to keep the money somewhat accessible and FDIC insured, or (again, depending on your circumstances) put your savings into a Roth IRA and be able to access it as a first-time homebuyer at some point in the future. (Check the laws at that time, things do change.) Good luck–you’re off to a great start.
