     That’s the plan I use and I like it a lot. I ordered the free disc so I can watch movies on my TV through my PS3. You get one movie at a time and they mail you a new one from your queue as soon as they receive the last one. You can watch online as much as you want. There used to be a limit and you had a certain number of hours you could watch online that was relative to the amount you paid each month for your plan (so you could watch for 9 hours with the .99 plan for instance). They don’t have every movie available online but they have a pretty good assortment. I was thinking of canceling Netflix but now I watch the online stuff more than the discs.

     A: Watching movies instantly on your PC is limited by viewing time each month. The limit is based on your plan size.
     For each of monthly plan cost (excluding taxes), 1 hour of instant watching is included. For example, if you are on our 3 at-a-time (unlimited) plan, you pay .99 a month, and you have 17 hours of instant viewing time per month.

   Is there a way to see a list of the plans Netflix offers?
   I have checked their website, and all I could find was the cost of streaming only, or streaming plus one DVD. I know that these aren’t the only plans they offer, and I was wondering what kind of information anyone could give me about the plans that Netflix DOESN’T talk about.

     No, when you change your current Netflix plan, it will just charge you the difference
     in the balance. So if you go from the 1 DVD per month plan for .99 to the
     2 DVD per month plan for .99 , it will just charge you the 3 dollar difference.

     Then starting the next month you will pay the new fee.

   Is Starz Play included on all netflix plans?
   I’m going to get Netflix for my ps3 and I’m wondering if I can watch Starz play movies.

     know they have some starz tv shows on netflix but for movies you should be able to see any movies thats been on starz, hbo, etc. on starz tv shows example, sparatcus blood and sand, not sure if they have the newer one there or not, can’t remember the series about a catering service where they were pink ties and those things that go around your waist. and there have been movies that were on starz only so don’t think it matters what you want to watch as long as netflix has it

   with the advent of netflix increasing its rate plans, do you also plan to cancel or reduce your rate plan?
   do you plan to cancel your netflix account altogether or reduce your rate plan with them since they are planning to increase some of their plans by as much as 60% in september? I have the unlimited streaming and 1 disc at a time plan for .99, that will soon increase to .99 in september. I plan to reduce my plan to the streaming only option at .99 in protest against this.

   • ANSWER:
     Neither….I don’t use them.

7. QUESTION:
   What are Netflix’s plans for their Watch Instantly selection?
   Currently the Netflix website lists a selection of 17,000 choices to Watch Instantly. Have they announced specific plans for this offering? Do they intend it to grow over time, or will they keep it somewhere around the 15,000 to 20,000 range? Can you envision a possibility in the future where the Watch Instantly might actually overtake their DVD/BluRay selection (becoming their primary mode of delivery, rather than a secondary feature)?

   • ANSWER:
     I don’t think it will overtake DVDs but it’s a handy feature. Expect the selections to grow, much like the offerings that you order from your gaming console have.
     Just have to throw a beef in here: I despise the fact that you have to have an Xbox Gold membership before you can use Netflix. Microsoft is pure evil.

   Can i change netflix plans on a free trial?
   I signed up for netflix’s 30 day free trial a few days ago with the 1 dvd out at a time plan. Can i change the plan to 3 or 4 dvd out at a time while keeping the free trial status? (if i can cancel before the trial is over i wont be charged)
   They just shipped out my first dvd yesterday. Does this mean I cant do it without being charged?

   • ANSWER:
     You totally can. Just go to the account tab and choose change plan. Right now, you’re on a free membership plan anyway. Make sure you do it before they ship the first DVD. The choice of plan is so that they know what to charge you for if and when the actual billing cycle begins.

    What is The Cheapest Netflix Plan that Works With Xbox Live?
    I am pretty sure that it requires an unlimited plan and it looks like there is one for .99. If I had that plan would I be able to use it on xbox live and everything? Is there any benefit to the other plans if I am only going to use Netflix through Xbox Live?

      I can assure you that the 8.99 plan you speak of allows for streaming to Xbox Live. Just make sure you have an Xbox Live gold account also or you cannot stream them.

    What is the difference of the .99 and the .99 plans in netflix?
    I know that the .99 has DVD’s but is there anything else that makes it different??? Answers??? Please???

    • ANSWER:
      I think th 9.99 still lets you get 1 DVD at a time and as many as you want streamed over the web, I think it just send you Blue Ray’s if that movie has a BR copy. If that’s not it then it’s the plan where you get 2 DVD’s at a time instead of just 1. I’ve had pretty much every plan they offer at one point of another.

    Difference in online Netflix plans?
    Yesterday, I began the .99 a month Netflix plan on xbox live (starting with the 1 month free trial). I was curious what’s the difference between the .99 a month plan and the .99 a month plan?? Will I have access to more movies through xbox live?? Also, if I upgrade to the .99 a month plan, will my 1 month free trial start over or just continue where it left off with the old plan.

    What’s the difference between the unlimited and No DVD plan for Netflix (besides the obvious reason that you don’t receive the DVD option)?? I am sure to go for the No DVD plan but its says that some titles might not be available to be instantly watched…. what does that mean?       The 1 out at-a-time unlimited plan for .99 a month is the cheapest plan that will support streaming content to the Xbox 360 after the update is rolled out.

    How to know if a company plans on acquiring another (ie. Netflix buying blockbuster)?
    I’m guessing look at statement of cash flow to track liquidation but im looking for other ideas…

      there is no way to know for sure – until the deal is announced.
      For example – there is constantly rumors that the Panda Express restaurants will be purchased by YUM foods (taco bell, pizza hut, KFC, long john silvers, etc)
      - Panda is privately held and micromanaged by the founder = at some point he is going to want to get rid of it
      - they are in the same general location (So Cal)
      - the chinese fast food concept would fit well with the other chains
      - there are few differences in YUM is primarily in street locations and Panda is mall-type places

      This rumor has been going on since the early 1990s

21. QUESTION:
    Can you stream unlimited movies/TV shows to your Wii with the basic Netflix plan?
    I am considering getting the .99/month plan from Netflix. With that, can you stream and watch an unlimited amount of movies and or TV shows on your Wii, or is that an extra charge? Also, I’d like to know how much stream/watch time you can have on your PC (if any) with that plan!

      There are some videos not available through the basic package and it also has to be on dvd to watch on netflix.

    Do Instant Watching movies count in my Netflix plan?
    I currently have the 2-movies-a-month Netflix plan. I received a disc for my Wii that enables me to stream movies that are available to be watched instantly through the Wii. Do the movies/shows that I can watch instantly count in my 2-movie-per-month quota?

      Absolutely. I watch more movies through my X-Box than I order by mail.

23. QUESTION:
    Does a TV show on Netflix count as one movie per season or per disk?
    On Netflix plans I know that you are limited to a certain number of titles that you can have out at a time. I am wondering if TV shows are counted as 1 DVD = 1 season or 1 DVD = 1 Disc in the season (box set) or
    1 DVD = 1 show in the season. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      they are counted as 1 disc. You only get one disc from the season at a time.

    Is the 8 dvds out at a time from Netflix plus streaming for 52 bucks a month a good deal?
    That’s alot of movie watching. The other option is I could buy DVDs at Super Pawn for 2 bucks each and new releases and kids movies for 4, occasionally they will have a dvd for 50 cents, they had Stealth for 50 cents today which is the better deal, or should I go with one of the cheaper Netflix plans?

      Start with the 2 at a time plan anf see hiw it goes, netflix has a phenominal turn around time, you can find the shipping location closest tio you to check specifically

    Does anyone know if using Netflix via Roku would count against the 5GB monthly allowance for MiFi data plans?
    If it does, which it seems like it probably does, then I wonder how much data is transferred for watching a movie on Netflix on the Roku. Has anyone tried doing this on a MiFi connection?

      Yes it will, it will kill the 5GB limit, because being that it is not downloaded on your compis has to stream the data from the netflix server, in order to keep the movie or tv show playing on netflix.

      That is the number 1 data drainer, streaming videos.

      with the 8.99 plan you can only have one movie sent to in the mail …you can download as many as you want to watch on your xbox.

      The .99 plan lets you watch unlimited streaming movies online. It allows you to have 1 DVD sent to your house at a time. The streaming service has mostly older movies on it. The new release movies are only available by mail.

      Yeah, things are a little confusing at Netflix. I pay .74 a month for unlimited streaming and 1 dvd at a time. They e-mailed me and told me that the new price will be dollars plus tax .99 for unlimited streaming and .99 for 1 dvd at a time.

      So, unlimited streaming should be .99 a month plus tax.

    What happened to Netflix’s plans?
    I was thinking about starting my netflix back up, but I can’t find my plan I had. All I see is 7.99 a month to stream it to my tv through game systems then add 2.00 for unlimited dvds through mail (1 at a time). I only want them through the mail and paying 10 bucks a month for 1 at a time dvds doesn’t seem worth it. Do they still have plans or is there another company I could use JUST for dvds through mail?     I would never use the stream through game systems cuz it just seems dumb to me.

      They changed a couple of months ago.

      The cheapest plan for DVDs at home is .99 a month and you get free Instant Watching.

      It is .99 a month for 2 DVDs at a time and free Instant Watching.

      Redbox is cheap. It is a day per DVD but you have to go get them at the groceries stores and places like that.

      In the upper right hand corner, click Account & Help. On the new screen it will show you all your account info, and on the right side will be a link to “change my plan”. On that screen you can choose from the different options. Hope this helps!

    If you have the streaming only plan from Netflix can you still look at what is available only on DVD? If yes, can you save these to your queue so when the titles become available to stream it will add it to your instant queue?

      You can browse at them, most movies will have the streaming availability date and the dvd release date if they havent already been released.

      However more than likely the dvds that have no streaming date probably will never have an option to stream.

      I have the streaming + dvd rentals, eventually theres just going to be movies you’ll have to rent

    Netflix Wii and its plans? Is it worth it?
    my mom put cable boxes in the living rooom as well asd her bedroom, but it would cost just too much to install it in my room. However, i have a tv(planning on buying a new one bc this one doesnt have a remote/too big for my room) and i have the WII. so, i was wondering if getting netflix for just me to watch through my wii would be worth it since i dont have cable or any other source to watch anything on my tv. i usually just watch abc family shows and tv series such as glee, secret life, 1000 ways to die, nanny 911, and such others. Also, what are the plans and how do they work? for example, would i be able to get the cheapest one, – a month/1 dvd rental??..the dvd rental is what im lost by..so if u have netflix/ netflix and wii better yet…please share and make it clear to me? would you please share if it would be worth it for me and stuff like that. thank you! : )

      Netflix has just changed their plans. You can now either stream only for 7.99 a month, or 1 dvd out a month for that same price. Then they upped their pricess for the 2 or more DVD’s out a month plans. If you’re only going to stream then it’s not bad. They don’t have every show on there and most of the movies are old, but not bad for the price.

    I just started the free trial and I was wondering if I changed the plan would they end the free trial and charge me or will it still be free until i cancel it?

      You can make all the changes you want during free trial. You will only be charged if you don’t cancel the free trial.

    What was the old Netflix fee plan?
    I know that Netflix has changed it’s fee plan to be .99 for the streaming only plan and .99 for those who wish to have the unlimited DVD added to that. But what was the plan before? Was it .99 for the streaming plus unlimited DVD?

      The old streaming only plan(which is still available) doesn’t include Starz Play movies.

    Netflix question! How many xbox’s can I streamline for netflix?
    I know it’s probably illegal, but what is stopping me from including my brother’s xbox on my netflix plan? I already have a computer, wii, and xbox included. Can I add his xbox to my plan????

      Yes you can, but you would need to have two separate xbox live gold accounts if you want to play them simultaneousness otherwise when he logs on it would log you out.

      Netflix just got a deal with Miramax Films (a studio that’s now pretty much dead, but has lots of popular films) to add 700 of their films to the watch instantly selection.

      So long as you both live at the same house you are fine. If you live elsewhere, you need your own account.
