The online movie rental industry has become a billion dollar industry in the last few years. Many people have decided that it is more convenient to rent movies online than to stand in queues at traditional video stores.
There are 3 new, up and coming companies to rent from apart from Netflix and Blockbuster. These companies are DVD Avenue, eHit.com and CafeDVD.com.
How does DVD Avenue work? DVD Avenue is one of the newest companies for online movie rentals. The company has a rental plans that begins at .99. There are many great benefits on offer from this company.
The first benefit is that consumers do not have to commit to any plan for a specified period of time. Consumers can rent up to four movies at a time depending on the plan that has been selected.
The one DVD plan costs .99 per month, for 2 it’s .95, 3 is .95, and for 4 it costs .95 per month.
The second benefit is that you pay no postage fees. Both shipping and receiving of all rented DVD’s is free. This alone saves a lot of money when you rent movies online.
The third benefit is that there is a vast selection of titles to choose from. There are over 25000 rentals to choose from in many different film genres. Their website is also very user friendly.
How does eHit.com work? Another company that allows consumers to rent movies online is called eHit.com. This company has a much smaller movie selection for consumers to choose from.
The first benefit of using eHit.com is that you can rent both Chinese and english movies. Many people in the United States speak Chinese but have a hard time finding video rentals that are solely in their native language. They also offers movie rentals in Japanese and Korean.
The second benefit is that people who enjoy both English and Asian films can rent up to eight movies at a time per month if they choose.
eHit.com offers 2 plans to choose from: On the “Unlimited Plan” you can choose how many movies you want to rent. Pricing is as follows: the 2 movie plan costs .99 per month, for 4 costs .99 per month, 6 is .99 and for 8 it’s .99 per month.
The “Point Plan” allows consumer to purchase points and use those points to rent movies online and watch TV shows online.
How does CafeDVD.com work? CafeDVD.com is another great company to rent movies online from. This company allows consumers to rent movies online on two plans.
These plans are a monthly subscription and an “A La Carte” plan. Up to four DVD’s can be rented at a time, per month under either of these two plans.
The “A La Carte” plan is different from the DVD Avenue and eHit.com plans that were discussed before as they do charge for mailing. In this plan consumers pay three dollars per seven days of rental time.
They are also charged .49 to ship one to two movies, .99 to ship three movies and .49 to ship four movies. If you want to avoid shipping costs, then each movie rental costs £3.50 per seven days under the “SaverPak” option.
The monthly subscription plan allows consumers to rent movies online based on the size of plan required. There are small, medium and large plans to rent movies online.
The small plan allows consumers to rent six movies for a cost of $ 14.95 per month. The DVD’S come in twos and are shipped together.
The medium plan allows consumers to rent eight movies and costs .95 per month. The large plan allows consumers to rent ten movies and costs .95 per month.
The first benefit is that CafeDVD.com allows consumers to rent the most movies out of the three companies reviewed. Consumers can rent up to ten movies which is great for people who just love to watch movies.
The second benefit is that CafeDVD.com caters for an audience who prefers more independent and classic films.
Which one should you choose? The best online movie rental service really depends on your needs as the consumer. If you watch many movies, then CafeDVD.com is best for you. If you want a large selection then DVD Avenue is best. If you like foreign language films, then eHit.com is the one for you.

QUESTION:
netflix plans?????????
on net flix if i order the:
Unlimited Plans
.99 a month
1 DVD out at-a-time
(Exchange each DVD as often as you want)
plus
Instantly watch online on your PC or Mac or right on your TV via an Internet connected Netflix ready device. Instantly watch as often as you want, anytime you want.does this mean i can only order 1 movie at a time but have unlimited hours watching on my pc?
cause i read on another yahoo answer that u pay for every hour or something!http://www.netflix.com/HowItWorks
-
ANSWER:
That’s the plan I use and I like it a lot. I ordered the free disc so I can watch movies on my TV through my PS3. You get one movie at a time and they mail you a new one from your queue as soon as they receive the last one. You can watch online as much as you want. There used to be a limit and you had a certain number of hours you could watch online that was relative to the amount you paid each month for your plan (so you could watch for 9 hours with the .99 plan for instance). They don’t have every movie available online but they have a pretty good assortment. I was thinking of canceling Netflix but now I watch the online stuff more than the discs.

QUESTION:
Netflix plans?
I’m on the 3 movie at a time plan, 17 hours of instant viewing on the plan. My question is, how many hours of instant viewing do you get on the other plans?-
ANSWER:
the answer is below from Netflix… i copied it from their FAQ’s.Q: Is there a limit to the number of movies I can watch instantly on my PC?
A: Watching movies instantly on your PC is limited by viewing time each month. The limit is based on your plan size.
For each of monthly plan cost (excluding taxes), 1 hour of instant watching is included. For example, if you are on our 3 at-a-time (unlimited) plan, you pay .99 a month, and you have 17 hours of instant viewing time per month.

know they have some starz tv shows on netflix but for movies you should be able to see any movies thats been on starz, hbo, etc. on starz tv shows example, sparatcus blood and sand, not sure if they have the newer one there or not, can’t remember the series about a catering service where they were pink ties and those things that go around your waist. and there have been movies that were on starz only so don’t think it matters what you want to watch as long as netflix has it

QUESTION:
What are Netflix’s plans for their Watch Instantly selection?
Currently the Netflix website lists a selection of 17,000 choices to Watch Instantly. Have they announced specific plans for this offering? Do they intend it to grow over time, or will they keep it somewhere around the 15,000 to 20,000 range? Can you envision a possibility in the future where the Watch Instantly might actually overtake their DVD/BluRay selection (becoming their primary mode of delivery, rather than a secondary feature)?-
ANSWER:
I don’t think it will overtake DVDs but it’s a handy feature. Expect the selections to grow, much like the offerings that you order from your gaming console have.
Just have to throw a beef in here: I despise the fact that you have to have an Xbox Gold membership before you can use Netflix. Microsoft is pure evil.

They just shipped out my first dvd yesterday. Does this mean I cant do it without being charged?-
ANSWER:
You totally can. Just go to the account tab and choose change plan. Right now, you’re on a free membership plan anyway. Make sure you do it before they ship the first DVD. The choice of plan is so that they know what to charge you for if and when the actual billing cycle begins.

QUESTION:
What is the difference of the .99 and the .99 plans in netflix?
I know that the .99 has DVD’s but is there anything else that makes it different??? Answers??? Please???-
ANSWER:
I think th 9.99 still lets you get 1 DVD at a time and as many as you want streamed over the web, I think it just send you Blue Ray’s if that movie has a BR copy. If that’s not it then it’s the plan where you get 2 DVD’s at a time instead of just 1. I’ve had pretty much every plan they offer at one point of another.

I’m guessing look at statement of cash flow to track liquidation but im looking for other ideas…-
ANSWER:
there is no way to know for sure – until the deal is announced.
For example – there is constantly rumors that the Panda Express restaurants will be purchased by YUM foods (taco bell, pizza hut, KFC, long john silvers, etc)
- Panda is privately held and micromanaged by the founder = at some point he is going to want to get rid of it
- they are in the same general location (So Cal)
- the chinese fast food concept would fit well with the other chains
- there are few differences in YUM is primarily in street locations and Panda is mall-type placesThis rumor has been going on since the early 1990s

QUESTION:
Netflix Wii and its plans? Is it worth it?
my mom put cable boxes in the living rooom as well asd her bedroom, but it would cost just too much to install it in my room. However, i have a tv(planning on buying a new one bc this one doesnt have a remote/too big for my room) and i have the WII. so, i was wondering if getting netflix for just me to watch through my wii would be worth it since i dont have cable or any other source to watch anything on my tv. i usually just watch abc family shows and tv series such as glee, secret life, 1000 ways to die, nanny 911, and such others. Also, what are the plans and how do they work? for example, would i be able to get the cheapest one, – a month/1 dvd rental??..the dvd rental is what im lost by..so if u have netflix/ netflix and wii better yet…please share and make it clear to me? would you please share if it would be worth it for me and stuff like that. thank you! : )
also, yes i have wiifi (wifi) on my wii (internet access.)
btw*- will they now still send me some sort of dic for wii netflix, or is it enough that i downloaded it from wii shop channel?
thank you!-
ANSWER:
Netflix has just changed their plans. You can now either stream only for 7.99 a month, or 1 dvd out a month for that same price. Then they upped their pricess for the 2 or more DVD’s out a month plans. If you’re only going to stream then it’s not bad. They don’t have every show on there and most of the movies are old, but not bad for the price.
