     If you look this up on Google, a lot of people are having this issue, including myself. Netflix is having some trouble with this, because this is a new service, and they don’t know how to fix the problem. Many subscribers are having trouble with their Xbox 360 Netflix video quality. Having a faster connection, and getting an Xbox Live compatible router or gateway would help, I’m sure, but don’t go wasting a ton of money. Netflix is supposedly doing their best to figure the problem out, fix it, and get us Xbox 360 users some better video quality. It’s not all cause of your ISP, or throttling, or your internet speed.

   How To Improve Quality on Netflix Xbox 360 Movies?
   Okay, so I have used the Netflix service and before it was really good quality and my videos would be clear. But now they are HORRIBLE. And i Have a 100.0 Mbps internet connection speed and it should look good. SO whats wrong? How do I improve the quality of the movies?

   • ANSWER:
     Either your ISP is throttling your connection (or throttling Netflix), your router is dying, or (if you’re using wireless) you’re getting bad reception. I have the same issues; I’m just satisfied if the movie plays smoothly.

   What are your thoughts of Netflix on Xbox 360 Gold account?
   I’m thinking about getting an xbox 360 and the ability to get movies from Netflix is a big part in that desicion. Is the quality good? User friendly? Any problems at all with it that make it an un-pleasurable experience?

   • ANSWER:
     This is a horrible service. I was very excited about this feature since I was already a member of Netflix. Turned out to be almost useless. The quality of the movies and shows are in 480p, which is very bad news if you have an hdtv. The picture is almost unwatchable.

     The availability of movies you can watch instantly is a joke, but it gets better as the weeks go buy. Still, don’t expect to stream your favorite movie.

     Xbox live is coming out with a new video service later this year which looks to be worthwhile. Supposed to have a wide selection of rentals in 1080p! Don’t let the Netflix service discourage you though. Xbox live is an amazing network.

   I live in Canada and Netflix on Xbox 360 is a new feature. Is it the same movies, or is it reduced?

     the 360 has less movies you can browse, but you can just go to netflix’s website brownse then add a movie to your instant queue and it will show up on your 360′s instant queue.

   How to watch movies on Netflix on Xbox 360?
   Someone once told me that one has to get a free Netflix card (from Target or Walmart) and activate it on Xbox 360 to get free Netflix. Is this true?

   • ANSWER:
     You go to Netflix app in the xbox 360 dashboard get the code from it then go to Netflix.com/xbox enter the code and start your free trial though you will have to sign up with a valid credit card to activate Netflix

   What output is Netflix on Xbox 360 slim?
   I have an xBox 360 slim. What is the output resolution from the Netflix app on the Xbox? 720p? 1080p?

   • ANSWER:
     The Xbox 360 can support up to full native 1080p with Netflix streaming video. Whether you get that will depend a lot on your broadband bandwidth.

     And, sorry “New York” but you’re wrong on this one! The 360 does support native 1080p even for games. The problem is, virtually every game is produced at 720p so the 360 does upscale those if your setting is at 1080p. There are only a few 1080p native games out there… Virtua Tennis and FIFA Street 3 are the two I can remember.

     This is one of the reasons the PS3 seems to have better graphics to some folks… they have about 25 games that are native 1080p, like Gran Turismo 5.

     You don’t actually use your computer to stream Netflix to your 360. You download the Netflix streaming client from Xbox Live, use the code they give you to verify your account at Netflix.com, and then you actually watch the movies in your view instantly queue on your 360 while it’s connected to a TV. Media Player isn’t needed and it doesn’t matter if you have XP or otherwise. You don’t need the actual computer for anything other than using your internet to verify the account and to add movies to your queue.

   I have a 360 and was wondering if i could test out the netflix on xbox for a couple weeks.

     yes you can! but remember to cancel your membership before the end of the 2 weeks, otherwise you will be charged a monthly rate.

     you will need to go to the netflix “ad” on XBOX live and download netflix…it will give you a code to enter on the netflix site and activate your 360…then you need to build an “instant queue” of movies that can be watched instantly and there you go.

    Why is there no selection on Netflix for xbox 360?
    I was watching a video earlier on my 360 through netflix and now i went to go watch one after i ate (powered 360 down) and when i went into netflix there was no selection of anything at all.. i had the option of search and party. and when i searched nothing showed up at all… i checked the xbox live status on netflix site and everything is up and running.

      Netflix is down right now. I tried doing the same thing with my PS3 and then tried my laptop. There’s an error message, saying that Netflix engineers are working hard to get the site up and running.

      I’m pissed.

    How does bring your friends to watch a movie on the Xbox 360/Netflix thing work?
    The new updates said that you can bring your party to watch a netflix movie with you on the 360. My question is how does this work? Do your friends also have to have netflix? Are there certain movies that you can bring your friends to, or are all the movies available?

      Your friends need to have netflix too. Only certain movies are available to watch this way for the moment, not all of them.

    I messed up and watched this crappy movie that could look bad if someone ever saw it. how do i delete it/remove it? it was all an acident. now i am trying to get rid of the awful movie so i never see it again. what do i do?

      Sorry, but you can’t. Netflix does not have the option of removing or clearing the “recently watched” on the Xbox or online.

      The only movies you can watch from your xbox are movies that are in your netflixs “instant queue”.

      Sign on your computer
      Go to netflix.com
      Find movies and add them to your “instant queue”
      Go on to your xbox netflix app and play them.

    I downloaded the application on Xbox, signed up, entered the code onto my computer, and entered all of my information. So now how do I stream movies on my Xbox 360?       well if you are using the free trial, i dont know what to do. but what we did was we used the code it gave us and went to www.netflix.com/activate. once you are there enter your code. if you look at your TV monitor it should change nearly instantly. now go back on your computer, add so stuff to your instant queue, and you are ready to watch movies!

      It might be hard to set up with only one internet connection… but just follow the on screen instructions on the xbox in the Nexflix section and it takes about 5 minutes to set up and start working.

      You cannot browse the movie selection from the xbox you have to go online on the PC to select the movie/show you want to watch and the “send it” to your xbox then it will show up the next time you log on to the xbox and you can watch it on your tv

      Okay well you have to sign up for XBOX LIVE on your xbox 360 this is about a year. (or every 3 months or every month) a year is the deal. So once you get it on one of the screens u should be able to find netflix. From there it’ll lead you through the process. And you’ll simply just type in Pass and Username sign in and enjoy

      XBOX offers a 30 day trial for Gold, all you’ve got to do is select I’d like silver and it will give you Gold so you’ll be enticed later on to buy gold

    Netflix on xbox 360 randomly stops or rewinds?
    When I am streaming netflix on my xbox 360 it will randomly stop, rewind, fast forward, etc. When it does it is such a pain to get back to where I was. usually if it just stops it goes to the main screen and I have to start the movie over. Any ideas what could cause this?
    I keep the controller off to save batteries. Every time is happens the controller is off. Very strange.

      well this has happened to use loads of times usually though it’s because we accidentally hit the controller… but never by it’s self. try turning off the controller after you get the movie started to see if that helps any.

    Why do I have to reactivate my Netflix account every time I start the Netflix application on my Xbox 360?
    Every time I start Netflix on my Xbox 360 it says I have to activate it, and it gives me a code to do so. I then have to put the code in online on the Netflix web page in order to browse or view movies on my 360. I’m sick of doing this every time! Is this necessary? Is there some way to keep it activated?

      Mine does this a lot also. Usually happens when you first start up the xbox and enter Netflix right away. When it happens, just hit the B button and back out. Then, immediately try it again. It will usually load the second time without fail.
      I never use any codes or crap like that.

    How come when using an HDMI cable to watch Netflix on my Xbox 360, sometimes the picture doesn’t show?
    I using an HDMI cable with my Xbox 360 and sometimes when I load up a movie on Netflix it will load the movie, but no picture or audio will play and then other times it will work no problem. I know this is an issue with the HDMI because before I have used the standard AV cables. Anyone have any ideas?

      The movies you could watch on Netflix on the 360 are select movies that they stream. It is not all the movies you can get shipped to your Home but they do have a large library, and it is growing all the time. If you have a Netflix account you can browse what titles are watch now and those you can watch on your 360. Again it is not all movies. However I have watched many movies over the 360 and think it has been a great thing.

      it depends on the connection type you have. for the best quality you should have a high speed connection. if you do have a good connection you should not have any other computers on (at least not on the internet)

      currently the only way for you two to watch a movie together is if you are sitting in the same room watching it on the same TV. Sort of a joke, sort of not. There is suppose to be many updates coming out as released this past week at E3 one of those items it party watching movies.       I am very happy with Netflix. I don’t always go for the new movies, though. They have tons of movies and I get the . a month package where I can pick one dvd at a time but then stream as many instant movies as I want. Not all movies are available online or through streaming though.
      I do sometimes wish that I could go to a physical Netflix store to pick out some movies that I can’t get from streaming and I didn’t feel like waiting for through the mail.
      So, with Blockbuster having that feature, if you use that a lot, you may miss that.
      But with all the movies I’ve put in my dvd selections to be mailed out, so far only one said that there would be a long wait. But like I said, I don’t pick too many new movies.

    I know that to watch movies from Netflix on my xbox 360, I need an activation code which you get from downloading it off of xbox marketplace or something. Does this cost any Microsoft Points?

      you need to first go to netflix.com and subscribe, then request a code, then get on your xbox 360 and enter that code into the netflix app (this app is free but netflix is not, obviously)

      Go to your XBOX memory and delete the Netflix application. Then redownload it and enter in all of your information when it asks you. Everything should go through fine or just call XBOX.

      I think it depends on how many DVD’s you get in the mail. If you get two dvds in the mail, then you can watch up to two netflix enable devices (such as the xbox, pc, ps3, and the wii).
      3 dvds=3 devices, 4 dvds=4 devices and so on.

      You do not have to pay XBox anything in order to get Netflix, except for you have to have a Gold Xbox Live Membership. You have to get an unlimited plan from Netflix, which starts at .99 a month for unlimited streaming videos and unlimited renting through mail (only one movie at a time though). You can stream as many movies as you want, and there isnt an extra fee. Any other questions just email me.

      The Nintendo Wii does not support High Definition output, only Standard.
      The Nintendo Wii also cannot play DVD video discs, although it does support it.
      Theoretically the Nintendo Wii is more than capable of playing DVD videos, and hackers have gotten it to play DVD videos as well as homebrew games like Portal: 2D and even Duck Hunt. Some homebrew games are even close to the quality of store bought games, and feature full Wii Remote technology.
      Now, back to your question.
      Because Netflix is an online video streaming service, both the PS3 version of Netflix as well as the Xbox 360 version would load at the same speed, as it is based entirely on internet connection speeds, and not the power or strength of the system.
      With that aside, I can now get to the recommendations of the two different services.
      The Xbox 360 requires for you to pay a monthly subscription fee to access the advanced features such as playing online on Xbox Live, and even Netflix.
      On average for each location across North America, the retail price is .99 for a six month pre-subscription to the Xbox Live services, or for a 12 month pre-subscription.
      None of these prices include the Netflix service, only the ability to access the service. (Or in other words to ‘unlock’ the service)
      The PlayStation 3 does not require any type of subscription to access its’ advanced features such as playing online or communicating with friends, but it still requires for you to buy a subscription with Netflix.
      The PS3 also has a built in Blu-ray player, which is currently the standard for displaying High Definition on a TV. The Xbox 360 does not have a Blu-ray player, and the built in disc drive is for DVDs only. Microsoft did however at one point sell an additional add-on which would allow for you to play HDDVDs, which are currently no longer being made. The add-on has been discontinued.

      I recommend for you to get the PS3, as it is a great multimedia device as well as an excellent gaming platform.

      If you click on the Netflix box under Video Marketplace, it will download. Once it does, start it up and it will show a code. Keep your 360 on and stay signed into Live. Go onto netflix.com on your computer and look in the account section. You’ll see a part where it shows your registered devices. Add a new device and put in the code. if you did it right the screen with the code on your 360 will go away and you’ll see Netflix with your instant queue.

      Not any movie. It’s only the ones available for instant streaming which are usually older movies and also a lot of independent and B movies. You don’t have to pay MS Points. You just need a Netflix account and a Live Gold account. The lowest Netflix account that lets you stream is the .99 one.

    I have an xbox 360 in my bedroom but would like to buy one for my living room so I can watch movies with the family. Can I use my same profile on the second xbox? Will netflix streaming work on both of them?

      The netflix streaming will be tied to your gametag. If you move your gamertag to the other 360, then it will work there. But then of course you have to move it back to the other one when you want to use it over there.

      If the only thing you want to use it for is streaming movies, there are dedicated devices you can buy that might be cheaper.

    I was wondering of you can stream HD movies on your Xbox™ 360 with Netflix™? Not SD but, HD 720p?

      Well the deal with streaming is it is completely dependent on your connection speed. If you have a great connection then many shows are in hd, if your connection slows then it will change to a standard definition almost seamlessly.
