     yes you can download movies, but just from their selection, not all movies are downloadable… Personally i didnt like any of the movies available for downloads (they are the old movies) so i cancelled my subscription.

     There is no fee for shipping. You pay a flat fee for your monthly subscription. When you return the movies, you use a postage-paid envelope.

      Yes, restarting your account will make netflix start to charge your account for the service level you select.

      You will not get a free month when you restart your account.

      I don’t understand your question. Are you upset because your order movies that don’t arrive or because Netflix doesn’t have the movies you want?

      I would call Netflix customer service with your concerns. They can and do help you. And how do you set up a credit card so you don’t have to pay? You’re going to have to explain that to the good people over at Netflix. Even Canadians have to pay their bills.

    Wii Nextflix controlling volume ?
    So i just set up nexflix on my tv upstairs but i can control volume with the normal remote, i had everything on mute and still nextflix was really loud so if there a way to turn volume down on wii or to set up my remote to control volume? Oh and is there a way to set up nexflixs so i can use a normal remote instead of wii remote?

      The wii has nothing to do with the volume of the TV.
      I would check the cables from the Wii to the TV maybe unplug them and plug them back in.
      check the TV remote for batteries.
      Netflix on the wii must be controlled with the wiimote also

    Do i have to be a member of Netflix to use its film recommendation tool?
    I want to use nextflix to search for films i might like, but i am not a member.

      The recommendation tool is based on films you have rated. Since you aren’t a member, I don’t see a way for Netflix to remember your ratings. Therefore, I doubt you would be able to use this feature.

      Netflix just went Bankrupt and cannot support the website anymore cancel your subscription so you dont get charged for a company that went under.

      Yes, exactly, your queue is the list of films that will be sent to you.

    Should I buy a xbox 360 to use netflix?
    I like the idea that now with nextflix and an xbox 360 you can have access to *supposedly* most of netflix’s library right on your television. I would play games if I bought the 360 but the main reason I would be buying it would be for the netflix capabilities. Can someone who uses this service please give me advice on this.

      I have both the Roku box, which just plays netflix’s online stuff, and an xbox 360, and they both work exactly the same. If you aren’t going to play games, just get a Roku since it’s less than . If you want the added ability to play the games, go with the xbox360. It’s a great service, you get your normal movies in the mail, and you can watch a growing library of movies online. The library is constantly growing, as they get the digital rights to do the films that way.

    nextflix instant play, unlimited?
    i have netflix and all the movies i actually want to watch arent on instant play and its really annoying. someone told me they have unlimited access to instant play. is this true? can i get it? cause mail in dvds takes forever.
    i have a little sister and she LOVES watching the barbie movies with me, but all of them have been out for years and arent on netflix

    • ANSWER:
      the studios have control over what Netflicks can put into the instant stream library, each studio can contract individually with Netflicks and work out their own details. As it stands right now Warner, Disney and Paramount and few others have deals that don’t allow Netflicks, or Redbox to “rent” DVD (certain titles) for 28 days after street date. This allows the studios the opportunity to have a DVD sales only window of 28 days and thus sell some actual DVD’s for /unit to retailers.
      Until the studios and Netflick can work out a deal that make the Studios enough money on there end for each movie streamed there wil be these what seem random and arbitrary restrictions on whats allowed to be streamed and whats not. Basically if a Studio thinks a movie will generate a lot of actual retail dvd units sold they will restrict how it can be rented by Netflicks and redbox be cause they get more money per unit by selling you copy then they do selling a copy to Netflicks and having NEtflicks rent it to 10 people, since the useful life of a digital streamed movie is indefinite the Studios have to come up with a way to get their share of that revenue stream, and no one has figured that out yet. They can run the numbers for an actual DVD 50 viewings and calculate how much they should get per DVD based on its viewable useful life.

      Eventually the Studios will probably start the own streaming distribution divisions and cut the middle men out all together, some small studios have actually tried this but the titles were small. Morgan Freeman did a film called 10 Items or Less and that became avaialbe online the same day as its theatrical release maybe day after but you get the idea

    Streaming Nextflix through TiVo–subscription required?
    Obviously, I know that I will need a Netflix subscription. My question is: will I still have to pay the monthly TiVo subscription fee if I only want to use the box to stream Netflix movies, and not cable?

    I’m pondering getting rid of my cable service, and just using Netflix and iTunes (via I-TV) to buy the content I want, since (like most people) I probably watch 2% of the crap that my cable company streams to me.

    I’m aware that there is a Netflix-only box, but I already own a Tivo. If I can use it for this purpose, I’ll keep the Tivo box. If I have to keep subscribing to Tivo, howerver, it would be more economical in the long-term to buy the Netflix-only box for 0.

      Only the Series 3 TiVo units, like the TiVo HD can stream Netflix. And yes, you will have to continue to pay the TiVo subscription. You can drop it down to a little more than per month if you prepay one year’s worth at 9.

      You should also have a broadband connection that can sustain at least 3 mbits/sec. Mine does about 5 mbits/sec and it looks very good with my TiVo HD. However, the streaming movies are only standard definition.

    Is there a way to search Netflix Movies on Xbox Live?
    I have had Nextflix for a while now and just got it on Xbox live. I really enjoy it and there is a big selection, but is there a way to search for a specific movie or TV show? On Zune you can search or browes, but I can’t figure out how to do it on Netflix.

      you can search or browse online at netflix.com and add them to your instant queue which shows up on the xbox and once you start watching them on your xbox, the selection you have on the xbox will grow. they will add genres they feel you are inclined to watch and suggest movies as well

    okay so i downloaded netflix on my wii and when it asked if i was already a member i accedently pressed yes, but im not and it wont let me leave the screen that tells you to enter a code in your computer. i was wondering if anyone had an idea about how to get it back to the thing where it asks if you are a member so i can redo it? i already uninstalled it then installed it again i just cant figure it out! if you know what to do please help!!! thanks

    I know that you need to pay 8bucks monthly to watch unlimited neflix right? Could I pay this fee via a psn card through psn ? And is this payment deducted from your psn account? Or is it a separate sign up for netflix.
    Yes, i realize that they are seperate companies … but you can access netflix on your ps3 .. and you need to sign into your psn account before using the service , i think what I’m asking is perfectly reasonable LOL

      You can still access Netflix without PSN (for some reason the password screen appears when you load up Netflix, but it’ll evetually take you to the site if you keep entering in your password)… most people that have Netflix have been doing this during the outage. It’s a seperate sign up. Netflix will charge your credit card/debit card directly. Sony isn’t involved in that transaction.

      Edit: Yeah, PSN being down complicates the process, but to answer Sony doesn’t get your credit card or debit info, Netflix does.

    Why can’t I download apps on my new iphone?
    I just bought a iphone 4 but when i try to download free apps like Nextflix and Facebook it goes to a purchase screen and asks for a security code. What is that? It says the apps are free?

      U need to set up an itunes account, this may require ur credit or debit card details but it wont charge it until u make a purchase… then once u have set it all up u can sign in on ur iphone and the app should be able to download… if u choose free apps then it wont charge ur account info

      Yes, we have it and it’s very cool. You just add all the movies you want and watch them like ‘on demand’ ….highly recommended!!

    I was watching the show on nextflix, and the last episode was a Christmas one with Cyber men (don’t remember the name, sorry!) and the doctor (David Tennant) was all alone, with no companion. I finished and went to the next episode and it had Matt Smith with no end of the 10th doctor! What happened? did i miss an episode? thank you!

      You missed quite a few actually. The episode you watched “The Next Doctor” was just one of four David Tennant farewell specials. The three remaining Doctor Who specials aren’t in the Doctor Who collection, but they are on there, just do a search.

      The specials that follow The Next Doctor are:

      The Waters of Mars
      The End of Time
      (The Doctor Regenerates at the end of this one, followed immediately by The Eleventh Hour.

      Since you have a Sony blu ray player, I am wondering if by chance you happen to have a Sony Bravia TV? If so, you can stream Netflix on it via this little attachment that connects to a port on the back of your TV.

      On the other hand, since this is Sony and you have something called Xross Media Bar. There is a button on your remote for this. With your ethernet connection connected, go to the media bar. Now move around the media bar and you should have options that were not there before you made the internet connection. See if Netfix is one of them.

    I have seen recently that you can now do nextflix thru the Wii. I have never had a netflix account and was curious about a few things. If you buy a account, are you only able to do renting on one piece of hardware. For example, if i got a account would i be able to rent/stream from my laptop and Wii or is it limited to one.       It’s unlimited to watch on whatever you want Wii,PS3,Xbox,etc and for the DvDs it depends how much money your paying for it monthly.

      Not 100% sure, I have yet to hear of any extreme details on the “New Xbox Experience” (such as your question).

      From what I understand, you’ll need a Netflix Unlimited account. I know that using Netflix you can download movies straight to your PC via logging in to their website. I can only assume that there will be somewhere on your Xbox Dashboard where you can type your Netflix user name/e-mail and password and sign on that way.

      But then again, I didn’t even know Netflix sent out little cards w/ redeemable codes.

      what you do is go online to your account and where you report a problem…you can choose lost the return envelope and they will send you a new one to send it back.

      (i hated and will never understand the hype over the descent and 28 days/weeks later. i basically don’t like older horror movies as well.)

      i cant remember the year of some of them on the list but majority are recent films that i did like. only one was from the 90′s which is misery. i highlighted with *** the movies that belong to my favorite list which i’ve seen over and over again.

    i have recently switched from the Netflix free trial to the full nextflix (based on the fact my parents are being charged monthly now) what i would like to know is this: if i want to watch a movie that is not able to be watched instantly, and order it by mail instead…is there an extra charge per movie ordered or am i allowed a certain amount of movies out at a time and if i exceed that amount i am charged OR can i order as many as i want for as long as i want (within reason) becasue my parents are paying monthly?

    I was recently signed in to Nextflix on my xbox on my girlfriend’s account, but am trying to sign out and sign in again on my own account. I’ve done it twice so far, and when I try to sign back in on MY (separate) account, it just signs in on my girlfriend’s account again? I don’t know why it’s doing this and I just want to sign in on my own damn account!

    So I just found out about Hulu Plus and and wondering if its better than nextflix… I don’t have either but i’m wondering which one is best. I like allot of TV shows but you can order DVDs through netflix with that overnight shipping deal. Which one offers more for your 10 dollars?

      I think they’re more like apples and oranges, Hulu is for TV shows and Netflix is for movies both are great services. The real question is if together they could make you rethink having cable TV.
